Christmas is On It's Way

Well, the signs of the season are in full swing here in Spokane.  Snow is on the ground (and roads -- and driving is a real pain) and there is a chill in the air.  At Gonzaga University (where I work), Bing Crosby tunes blare from The Crosby Student Union.  (He was an Alumni of the school and they play his stuff every year.)

I am almost done Christmas shopping and I mailed a bunch of presents to my family today.  I hope my neice and nephews like their gifts because I made a lot of effort to get them what they wanted this year.  I am looking forward to going home to see my family as well.  I miss them sometimes.

Cole helped me move Lyssa in on Saturday.  She is a friend of mine from SpokLAN (the group that does LAN parties here in Spokane), and she is 18 years old but only a Junior in High School (this is a real catch-22 for her because she can't work a full time job and finish high school).  Her Mom tossed her out several months ago (Before she even turned 18) and she has lived with friends since then.  Cole and I decided to help her because she really didn't have anywhere "safe" to go and it is our hope we can help her get a part time job and that I can help her get in as a roommate to one of the college students here and get her out on her own.

Amazingly, I got approved for a loan for a New Alienware computer. .   And I decided that I wanted a laptop, so I ordered one today.  I took the loan mainly because I know I will be able to pay it back and I need to get my credit rating up.  In a few years I will want a house and need my credit to be perfect (if possible).

Cole will buy my old PC so now our whole house will have a gaming-level computer!  So we can kick each other's butts!!!  I am sooo looking forward to sniping my roommates. Image

That is really funny! Sniping your room mates... you know... you could do it with airsoft guns or even nerf guns and you could hear real screams of pain and surprise! (Or not)
