I talked to my sister this evening and it seems my Mom is doing better!  She goes home on Thursday and will be back home when I come for Christmas.  I am glad she is doing better, I was really anxious and worried about visiting her in the hospital.  I wasn't sure what I would feel about it.  It would be weird not seeing her like she always has been, at home, complaining about everything, and always up for a shopping trip to The Dollar General, or hitting garage sales on Saturdays.

My family also recieved the Christmas presents I mailed home, so everything is in order.  All I have to do is get some money from my account and step on the plane on the 22nd.  I am looking forward to going home and hope I have made my family's Christmas special this year.  Not only by me being there (I missed last year due to work, and I live 2600 miles away from them), but also by making sure they all had something cool this holiday season under the tree.

I had a good day at work today.  Fixed a few problems (which always makes me feel great), and went to an office Christmas party!  It was fun, and the food was good.  I love the week of finals before Christmas break, always some party to go to during work hours somewhere.  It's the one time of year when everyone seems to be in a festive mood.  And it's so nice to be around others who are having a good time.
