Back In Spokane

Well, I made it in about 4AM this morning.  Needless to say, I called in sick to work and crashed out for most of the day, excepting going grocery shopping with my roommate, Cole. (we REALLY needed food stuffs)

Back in Spokane life goes on as usual.  My roommate's kids went back to school and my "temp" roommate Lyssa is making plans to move into a studio apartment with some friends of hers next month.  I am glad to see her getting out on her own!  Cole is his usual hum-drum self, playing lots of Everquest and making sure he is enrolled in all his classes at Spokane Community College. (He starts class tomorrow)  My buddy Adam called me and wanted me to come over, but I was so darn tired, I had to turn him down.  I ended up taking another nap after I talked to him on the phone and slept so long that Cole decided to cook chicken, even though I had planned to cook tonight, but I don't mind.

I am looking forward to catching back up with my friend Alan and BSing with him.  I am wondering how his Christmas and New Year's turned out.

Other than this, I'm simply so happy to be able to go to my own room and crawl in my own bed, snuggling up warmly under my celestial comforter and just sleep.  One of Life's simple pleasures that I often take for granted.  I'm so happy to be HOME! Image

Notice I used the word HOME in all capital letters.  My trip to my folks and my friends reinforced to me something I have suspected since I got here.  That where I am now, here in Spokane, is my real HOME.  I am happy and healthy (mostly), and safe here, and it's where my heart lies.  Now if I could only find that one person who wants to share in this wealth of happiness with me, I'd be whole.
