Give me a B-I-T-C-H!

Basically the reason you'll be driven to go see the new comedy Bring it On, comes down to two things: either you were/are a cheerleader or you hate them to death.

On Aug. 25, Universal Studios releases its latest sexy teen flick about two rival high school cheerleading squads who are competing for the national championship. And they don't play nice.

Kirsten Dunst (Virgin Suicides) stars as Torrance Shipman, the wealthy, suburban teen captain of Rancho Carne High School, whose cheers turn out to be secondhand.

Unbeknownst to Shipman her predecessor gave her cheers stolen from a poor inner-city East Compton high school, whose captain, played by Gabrielle Union (Love and Basketball), is determined to win the nationals and to get her boomin' moves back.

ChickClick caught up with some of the stars of Bring it On to find out how they got so spirited. Turns out they went to cheerleading camp prior to shooting the movie.

These stars seemed humbled by their camp experiences—it seems that cheerleading isn't just for flaky blondes. We decided to see how much they really learned at cheerleading camp by giving them a little test of our own.

The girls have been real troopers, but I wonder if the guys will be as willing to cheer. Next, I meet Nathan West (The Adventures of A.R.K.), who plays Jan, the womanizer of Kirsten's cheerleading squad.

The spotter

ChickClick: How's it going Nathan?
Nathan: So far, so good.

Great. So, tell me about your experience in cheerleading camp.
It was awesome. We were there for about a month, and everyone was so cool.

Any embarrassing moments?
Actually, yeah. I was doing this move called the helicopter—me and this other guy had to catch this girl after she flips over. This one time we just about lost her. The worst part about it was that it was totally my fault. This other guy, who's like a real cheerleader, caught her. I felt like such an idiot, especially since some other guy rescued her.

Hey, but you're man enough to admit it, right?
Yeah, and she lived. No broken bones or anything.

So let's see if anything positive came out of your time at camp. Will you make up a cheer for me for the ChickClick site?
Right now?

Yes.
Okay, just give me a sec. [All geared up, Nathan lets loose.] "Go watch the movie Bring it On, and check out what I said on ChickClick dot-com. Go team!"

Pretty cool. He pumped the movie and rhymed it with our Website.
