Warren Central received accreditation in 1970. It has an approximate enrollment of 1,200 students and competes athletically in Division 5A.

"Pride in Performance"

The Warren Central Lady Vikes slow-pitch softball program was established in 1977 by the "Dean of Mississippi Softball," Coach Lucy Young. During her tenure she has amassed numerous tournament and Division championships. Early in the 2001 season she surpassed her 300th win.

Coach Young also has the distinction of establishing the Lady Vikes fast-pitch program in 2000. In just three seasons she guided her team to its first Division championship and a No. #1 State ranking.
