On September 11, 2001 an event happened that literally rocked our world so that we will never be the same. 19 terrorists boarded 4 different planes and changed the way of life as we knew it. Many innocent lives were lost and many hero's were made. I want to personally say that I thank those from the bottom of my heart who gave their lives without a single thought to help someone else. I've never seen our grand country pull together as I have since September 11th. Thank you to all who helped and is still helping. Thank you to all who have donated blood and money and food. It took a national tragedy for us to pull together. We should all be as one no matter what. Let us not break the cirlce of friendships we have built. Love one another like there is no tomorrow. Hug often. Say "I love you" more often. Smile more. Pray. We will pull through.
Like everyone else in America, I'll never forget how I learned the awful news of this tragedy. My sister called me that morning and asked me if I was watching T.V. Being on my way out the door, I said no. She said, "You have to turn it on now." I did. At first I thought a school had been bombed or something similar. I asked what was going on. She told me. I hung up and just sat amazed in front of the T.V. I literally could not move. I don't know how long I held my breath before I realized I wasn't breathing. I watched as the second plane crashed into the World Trade Center. I just cried. I couldn't believe that someone would do that! I sat for a long time saying over and over again, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" I cried as the towers fell. I will never forget that awful day as long as I live.
My prayers are with the heroes who gave up their lives without a single thought of themselves. My prayers are with the families and friends that lost loved ones in the explosions. My prayers are with the children who lost their parents. May God help this country. God Bless the USA!
Now More Than Ever
By Lady Viktoria

I woke this morning and started my day,
Only to find my country in dismay.
Lives have been shattered. We don't understand.
How can such hatred live within man?
Questions are asked ~ answers are none,
Now more than ever we gather as one.
We stand united in a moment of silence,
As we take in the impact of such senseless violence.
Our futures are bleak. What happens tomorrow?
Our hearts are heavy ~ laden with sorrow.
Circles of prayer seeking God face,
Now more than ever we need His grace.
Let hate die with us, give love without end.
Sometimes someone just needs a friend.
Let us not grow bitter in this time of need,
Let giving and forgiving be our creed.
Call on your neighbor, lend them an ear.
Now more than ever let love drive out fear.
Our lady of freedom with her torch in the air,
Through the ask and smoke, hope is still there.
Old Glory waves on red, white and blue,
To this country we love, we will remain true.
We will rebuild and loudly we'll sing,
Now more than ever let freedom ring.
Remember lives lost this fateful day,
The dreams and wishes stolen away.
Brave men and women who gave up their lives,
Forever honor their sacrafice.
As this war rages on in which we were thrust,
Now more than ever IN GOD WE TRUST!

Here's a poem I wrote to all of America...
This picture is simply touching. It should not have been created to look like this. It's beautiful. A picture truly is worth a thousand words. It's my understanding that this picture was created by D.E. Waldon and Guy Parneix. If this is not true, please, someone email the true creator so I can give credit where credit is due. If it is true, thank you for making such a speechless picture.
Before and after pictures of the World Trade Center. It's heartbreaking and senseless.
I heard this on the radio station I listen to, KLOVE, and I went on a net search to find it. Finally I found it. If anyone knows who wrote this beautiful piece, please let me know so I can put there name here where it says unknown.

On Monday we emailed jokes.
On Tuesday we did not.
On Monday we thought we were secure.
On Tuesday we learned better.
On Monday we were talking about heroes as being athletes.
On Tuesday we relearned who our heroes are.
On Monday we were irrated that our rebate checks had not arrived.
On Tuesday we gave money away to people we had never met.
On Monday there were people fighting against praying in schools.
On Tuesday you would have been hard pressed to find a school where someone wasn't praying.
On Monday people argued with their kids about picking up their rooms.
On Tuesday the same people could not get home fast enough to hug their kids.
On Monday people were upset that they had to wait 6 minutes in a fast food drive through line.
On Tuesday people didn't care about waiting up to 6 hours to give blood for the dying.
On Monday we waved our flags signifying our cultural diversity.
On Tuesday we waved only the American flag.
On Monday there were people trying to separate each other by race, sex, color and creed.
On Tuesday they were all holding hands.
On Monday we were men or women, black or white, old or young, rich or poor, gay or straight, Christian or non~Christian.
On Tuesday we were Americans.
On Monday politician argued about budget surpluses.
On Tuesday grief sticken they sang, "God Bless America."
On Monday the President was going to Florida to read to children.
On Tuesday he returned to Washington to protect our children.
On Monday we had families.
On Tuesday we had orphans.
On Monday people went to work as usual.
On Tuesday they died.
On Monday people were fighting the 10 commandments on government property.
On Tuesday the same people all said, "God help us all" while thinking, "Thou shalt not kill."

It is sadly ironic how it takes horrific events to place things into perspective, yet it has. The lessons learned this week, the things we have taken for granted, the things that have been forgotten or overlooked, hopefully will never be forgotten again...

Terrorist's Strike Again

I feel sad and sorry. I wish I could do something about it. I feel I am safe. I wish it hadn't happened. I am sorry for the people who had relatives who are dead. I am mad because I want to know why they would do something like this. One was supposed to run in to the White House, or a camp, but instead the plane hit right in the middle. Fire Fighters were up all night trying to dig up people that are alive. The only thing I can do is.....Pray
My daughter Caitlyn, had to write her feelings on the events that took place September 11, 2001 as a class project. Here are her words...
My thoughts and feelings about the Day of Prayer and Rememberance

September 11, 2001

When the attacks happened, I was very sad. I found out about some of the kids parents died and felt sad for them. It was a disaster. I can't forget September 11, 2001. Every time I sing America songs, I remember about the terrorist.
