Found this on some Bookseller in 2000:

The Architect of Desire
Beauty and Danger in the Stanford White Family
By: Suzannah Lessard

Lessard's great-grandfather was Stanford White, one of America's leading architects at the turn of the century.  This is the story of the extraordinary family in which the author grew up and reveals the full truth behind White's murder.

Denis Lawson, actor
This is a fantastic, wonderful, amazing book about Stanford White, the guy who designed Madison Square Garden and many other buildings in New York.  He was shot on the roof terrace of Madison Square Garden in 1920 at point-blank range.  His granddaughter wrote this story about him, and her use of English is just wonderful.  It's a great book for women because it's written from a woman's point of view.  I'd really recommend it.
Denis Lawson starred most recently in an adaptation of Joanna Trollope's novel Other Peoples Children of ITV.
