When David Halliday awoke in the hospital, he had no recollection of the six months he had spent in Bay City under the control of Jordan Stark. The last thing he remembered was being in severe financial trouble back home in Omaha, Nebraska. Although disturbed that he had lost six months of his life, he was thrilled to discover his financial troubles had reversed and he was "stinking bloody rich". Determined to make the most of his second chance, David soon ran into the financially-strapped Cindy Harrison. David decided to help Cindy start over and took on her troubles, with very amusing results.
