Wilma's Article

Annamarie, Bob and Wilma in NY
We were hoping to scan the entire article, because it has a cute picture with it, but alas, it would not scan well enough to read, so we resorted to just copying it word for word. Here ya go:
TV Star Parade July 1960
Meeting Mr. Robert Fuller was a dream come true! It was the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and my family and I were watching the MDA Telethon, when who appeared on the screen but Robert Fuller, handsome star of Laramie. There was a mad rush to the telephone (as you may have guessed, I got there first) to make our pledge for the charity to Bob, but we were unable to speak to him. We kept calling all day, but could not contact him.
The next day, as my sister Annamarie and I were talking about Bob, I decided to call a place where I thought he might be staying. My guess was right. I was speechless when Bob answered the phone but finally calmed down enough to ask if he had a fan club, and if there were any way for my sister and I to see him. He said no, he didn't have a club and yes, he would be happy to meet us.
The next day, in spite of the wind and rain, we took a bus to the city, and called Bob when we reached the Port Authority. Chuck Courtney (he played Dan Reed on The Lone Ranger) answered, said that Bob was out but to come on over. When we arrived and met Chuck, were we surprised! We had pictured him as older, but was a handsome blue-eyed blonde. He went off to find Bob, and returned, soaked to the skin--alone. We were frantic...then a few steps behind came a WET Robert Fuller with his dark hair hanging down on his forehead. He invited us upstairs so he could change his wet clothes and we could talk better. In his room we met a few of his friends, among them his publicity agent, Charles Green and a lovely model, Lola Mason. Most importantly, we explained to Bob how a club should be run if it is to be a good one, and he told us what we had hoped to hear: The club was ours.
In the course of conversation we told Bob how sad we felt about missing Laramie that evening, and he thoughtfully arranged to have a TV set brought in for us.
Afterwards, we asked Bob to take some pictures with us. He was as willing and helpful as could be. We had a ball taking them too. What girl wouldn't if she could be in Bob Fuller's arms looking into those blue eyes as I was.
All too soon, this wonderful day came to an end. We bid goodbyes to his friends, and thanked Bob for a fabulous time and for his permission to start his club.
