Nagasaki. The second Japanese city to be target by the USA for detonation of an atomic bomb. Over 30,000 people died in the immediate wake of this bomb. It was used just three days after the bomb on Hiroshima. The Japanese surrendered the next day.
Nazi Party. (NAZDP) The party taken over by Adolf Hitler in the early 1920s. It has very simple ideas but is difficult to summaries as many of these ideas are 'feelings and emotions'. It requires the unquestioning obedience to a leader (Fuhrer) and strong ideas of Nationalism and feelings of superiority to theirs. The hatred of Jews (Anti-Semitism) are also central parts of their beliefs. The Nazis believed in the family, the need to live a simple life in a rural setting and were especially eager to work against the communists, who they hated.
Normandy. An area of coastal France on the English channel. It was here that the British and American/Canadian armies recaptured France after 5 years of Nazi occupation.
