Togo. The General of the Imperial Japanese army. he was a very aggressive man who believed that Japan should make a unexpected attack on the USA and attempt to destroy their navy as a way of successfully taking them  on in war. He was hung after being tried as a war criminal after the war.

Truman, Harry. In 1945 President Roosevelt died and Harry truman took over. he was a much more direct and less tolerant man who was very clearly anti-Soviet. He was distrubed about the way Roosevelt had allowed Stalin so much of his own wayat the Yalta conference. At the following conference at Potsdam he made it clear that he was as concerned about the Soviet Union as he was about the Nazi German regime. It was Truman who gave the order to use the atomic bomb. He claimed that this weapon had shortened the war and saved millions of peoples lives as a result.
