Cassidy put the tray down and shook Garrett gently. "Wake up, baby." She kissed his forehead.

Garrett mumbled something inaudible and rolled over.

She made him roll back over and kissed him on the lips gently. "Your breakfast is gonna get cold, baby. I brought coffee too."

"You made breakfast?" He asked, sitting up.

"I made breakfast. For two. And you aren't getting out of bed." She placed the tray on the bed and slid back between the blankets.

"This is a nice change."

"Isn't it? We'll do it more often." She kissed his cheek, handing him his coffee. "You better be hungry."

Garrett looked down at the tray. "How many people did you think were going to be eating with us?"

"I was thinking more about the fact that you haven't eaten in a week. Ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, French toast, and a nice big coffee. That plate's yours."

"What are you eating?"

"French toast and some eggs and also a coffee."

Garrett began eating his food. "This is good."

"There's fruit, too."

Garrett looked over at her. "You planning on fattening me up?"

"Afraid I'm gonna eat you?"

"Are you?"

"No," she said, and then winked. "Only good boys get treats."

"What do bad boys get?"

"Bad boys have to work for their treats."

"Looks like I've got some work cut out for me, don't I?" He smirked, setting the tray on the floor.

"I'd say you do. Because God knows you're the original bad boy."

"Of course I am." He kissed her.

"And... I rather like you that way."

"Good."

She kissed him, sliding her hands into his hair. "Still love me?"

"Never stopped."

"Good. I missed you."

Garrett kissed her again. "I'm sorry I haven't really been here."

"I miss us. I miss you having time for us."

"So do I."

"Make time? Please?"

"For this, of course."

"For me."

"You don't even have to ask."

She smiled a little bit, still playing with his hair. "You and those blue eyes are going to be the death of me... they don't sparkle so much lately."

"I haven't gotten to look at you as much as I should have. And God have I missed it."

"Then make up for it."

"Oh I plan to." He rolled Cass onto her back and kissed her firmly.

She giggled just a bit. "I think this could be a fun morning."

"We've got a lot to make up for." He grinned, kissing her neck.

"Agreed."

~*~*~*~

"God, I've missed that."

"So have I." He kissed her cheek.

She turned to face him, placing a hand on his face. "You still look so tired."

"Well you pretty much used my energy." He grinned. "Not that I'm complaining."

"You looked tired before that. But you want something else to eat?"

Garrett shook his head. "I'm good."

"Alright. Good." Cassidy snuggled close to him. "You lost weight, too."

"I've gotta stay lean, even in my old age."

"You aren't old, baby."

"I'm getting up there."

She shrugged. "You still look good."

"You look gorgeous."

"Well then we're both aging well."

"We must be lucky."

"It's just because we have to keep being a beautiful couple."

"You're the beautiful one."

"You're a handsome man yourself. And now we went and had another little baby, who is also adorable."

"And we have five other perfect kids."

She smiled. "I know."

"One of whom is not pregnant." Garrett said almost joyfully.

"I know... but she's still hurt."

"Yeah."

"And Ella still is."

"And Ivy's got two of her own."

"Who are completely precious."

"And Garrett...who knows what the hell's going on with him."

"Hasn't brought a girl home yet since what happened with his last girlfriend... I don't even know why they split."

Garrett shrugged. "Maybe he'll find someone in the organization he likes."

"That'd be nice."

"What...Cass, is Garrett gay?"

"Not that I know of."

"What if that's why he hasn't brought a girl home?"

"I suppose it's possible..."

"But....then...he needs to have an heir."

"Well... Nathan would be able to step in after him..."

"But..."

"Garrett, we have no evidence as to whether or not he's gay."

"But this isn't good."

"He's still young. He's only twenty one.

"Still. I was married to you when I was twenty one."

"You were married to me before that. But we were different."

"I'm just saying he should at least have a serious girlfriend by now and be considering settling down."

"He's got time. We raised an independent boy. And even if he is gay, Garrett... I can't say it much makes a difference to me."

"I'm not saying there's something wrong with him if he is, but....I don't know...."

"You hope he's not."

"Yeah."

"I suppose that's normal." She kissed his cheek. "You really do look good."

"Better than last night?"

"Yes, but you could still use some work. You're less with the intimidating and more with the frightening."

"I must be going soft."

"Not going soft... just working too hard."

Garrett nodded. "You know, you should force me to sleep more often."

"I think I will. And also to eat. And if I have to I will schedule us having married couple time, because I think that helped too."

"I'd like to see that in my appointment book." He grinned.

"I'm willing to do that for you."

"What a devoted wife." He kissed her firmly.

She kissed back, again messing with his hair. "Well, I love you."

"I love you too, Cass."

"I like these mornings. We should have them more often."

"What time is it?"

"A little after eleven."

"Wow."

"Yeah."
