Gavin walked into his brother's office. "Yeah?"

"I want Dylan Kincaide dead."

"So do we all, big brother, but I don't know what you expect me to do about it."

"I want his head on my wall, Gavin."

"That'd make quite the conversation piece."

"Well I'm not really interested in the conversation. I want him dead. I want you to help me kill him."

"You have something planned?"

"Not yet. But I want you to help me."

"Alright."

"You will?"

"Yes."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. I want him dead too."

Garrett nodded.

"How's
Cass taking it?"

"Not too well."

"I *am* sorry about all that... is she pleased about Garrett, at least?"

He nodded. "How are you and Chelsea?"

"We're... dealing... I don't like her working for you. Never will. I'm always going to try to stop her."

Garrett nodded. "That's understandable."

Gavin sighed.

"And what about her and Garrett?"

"I don't like it, but he cares for her and he's good to her."

Garrett nodded. "She's happy."

"Yeah."

Garrett studied him. "You alright?"

"I'm fine."

"You look tired."

"Aren't we all?"

"How's the little kid?"

"Good... very good."

Garrett nodded.

"Yours?"

"Nathan's good."

"Good."

Garrett nodded. "Kayla stayed with the IMF."

"I know."

"She fucking stayed."

"I know..."

"How could she, Gavin? How could she do this?"

"That I don't know." He sighed.

Garrett hung his head and then looked up at Gavin. "Alright...come back tomorrow and we'll work out a way of going about this."

"Alright."

Garrett nodded. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." And Gavin left.

~*~*~*~

Alarms blared and men and women ran through the halls as the IMF headquarters found themselves in the middle of a full-scale attack. Dylan kissed Corryn gently. "Get the kids and get out of here... I'll delete the records and I'll join you," he told her.

Garrett's men poured into the building and opened fire on all the agents in the halls.

Corryn kissed him again. "I love you, Dylan." She whispered before running down the hall.

Dylan watched her go and then drew his gun, taking down as many as he could as he ran to his office. It was too late to save himself... but Corryn and the kids would be fine... and he could eliminate the records. Damn the Spencers... it looked as if they might just win. For now.

Garrett and Gavin were waiting in Dylan's office when he got there.

"Well. Certainly a successful attack, gentlemen. Congratulations." Dylan still seemed cool and collected.

"It's over, Kincaide. I hope you said your goodbyes." Garrett said coldly, cocking his gun.

"Oh, I did. Have you said yours? Because the moment you kill me, you'll find it damn near impossible to get out of here in one piece."

Garrett smirked. "Who says we'll be leaving through the front door?"

"Now who said anything about the front door?"

Garrett didn't respond. "It ends here, Kincaide. You've stolen the last of my family." He fired one shot to the spot where he assumed Dylan's heart would be.

Dylan fought to keep his face expressionless. Death wouldn't be long in coming, at least. "You're the one who stole my family," he hissed at Garrett. "First one sister... then the other to your brother... you made Cassidy rip my family apart."

"We didn't make them do anything. If she ripped your family apart, it was what she wanted to do."

"Because of you," Dylan wheezed as he collapsed to the floor.

Garrett walked over to the body and fired one more shot into Dylan's head before looking to Gavin. "We've got to get out of here."

"Thanks for the obvious, there," Gavin replied, leading the way back out the window and up to the roof.

Garrett followed him out.

"Now what do you do?" Gavin asked as they took off in the copter.

Garrett paused. "We go home."

"And? The entire purpose of your life just halted. And what about your son?"

"Would you rather I waited so Garrett could kill him once I'm dead?"

"No... I'm just saying."

"It'll never end, Gavin, even with Kincaide gone, someone else will have gathered enough resources to go against us."

"Then what *is* your goal?"

"To survive."

"So you are just a mob boss."

"I guess..."

"But with power." Gavin smirked a bit.

Garrett nodded.

"Come on, let's get back home."

"Glad you could join me."

"I'd have shot him myself but you wouldn't have let me."

"If you wanted to, we can turn around right now and you can put a few rounds in him."

"Nah. I think it's best to just get home."

Garrett nodded.

~*~*~*~

Cassidy met him at the bottom of the ramp.

Garrett put an arm around her. "It's over." He told her.

Grace hung back a bit, waiting for Gavin.

Gavin emerged a moment later and pulled Grace to him.

Cassidy kissed him gently.

"Hey you." She kissed his cheek.

Garrett kissed her back.

"Hey." Gavin squeezed her gently.

"How'd it go?"

Cassidy seemed a bit distracted, however. "Garrett... do you think she was with them?"

"Kincaide's dead."

"Kayla?"

"Yeah."

Grace nodded, having mixed feelings about that fact.

"I don't think so."

Gavin kissed her gently.

Cass nodded.

"I think she's still in her captor's house."

Grace kissed back.

"I... I miss her."

Gavin pulled her close. "You okay?"

"So do I, baby." Garrett kissed her.

Grace nodded.

Cassidy kissed back. "But I'm glad you're here in one piece."

Gavin smiled at her. "Good."

"Me too."

Grace kissed him.

Nathan suddenly hurried out and attached himself to his father's leg.

Gavin kissed back.

"Hey little man." Garrett picked up the toddler.

"I'm glad you're safe."

"So am I." Gavin kissed her again.

"Daddy's home!" Nathan announced delightedly.

"Daddy is home."

She smiled. "Do you need to do anything else here?"

"Are you gonna go way again?"

"No... let's go home."

Garrett shook his head.

"Yeah."

"Yay!"

Garrett smiled and tossed him up in the air, catching him again.

Nathan laughed.

Gavin slipped an arm around her and led her to the car.

Grace kissed him again.

Garrett held the boy. "Was that fun?"

Gavin kissed her back gently.

Nathan nodded.

"Did you and mommy have fun while I was away?"

He nodded again. "Mama played with me a lot."

She smiled.

"Yeah?"

Gavin took her hand but kept his eyes on the road.

"Yeah." Nathan smiled. "Will you play with me sometimes, Daddy? If you aren't working," the child added quickly.

"I will play with you as much as I can, buddy."

She squeezed his hand.

Gavin squeezed back.

Nathan smiled.

Garrett carried him into the house.

"Hey, what about me?" Cass called teasingly.

"I'll play with you later." He called back with a smirk.

"Only if I let you!"

"Oh don't worry, you will." He set Nathan down and kissed Cass on the neck.

She folded her arms. "Maybe."

"Well if that's how you're gonna be..."

"Maybe I am, and what are you gonna do about it??"

"If that's how you're gonna be, I think I'm just gonna take my buddy here inside and play with him."

"Well that wouldn't be very nice. I'd be neglected all by myself outside."

"You're more than welcome to come with us."

"I don't share well." Cass winked.

He smirked.

"That's not nice, Mama," Nathan said, shaking a little finger at her.

Garrett laughed. "Listen to your son."

"Yeah, he thinks he's funny like his dad." Cassidy grinned and went up the stairs to them, taking Nathan from Garrett and kissing Garrett on the cheek. "Come on. Let's go play."

"Yes ma'am."
