Cass knocked on the door, glancing about as if she expected to be followed.

"Come in."

Cass pushed the door open. "Hi," she greeted Cal.

"Hey."

"Hi..." She sat down.

"You okay?

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. In fact, I'm pregnant."

"You're what?!"

"I'm pregnant. I'm having a baby."

"Oh my god..."

"I just found out now... I'd gotten sick this morning and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some disgusting stomach bug and I'm pregnant."

"Oh wow..."

"Garrett and I just talked about it last night and decided we wanted a baby after we got married and it turns out I'm already pregnant..."

"Wow..."

"I'm sort of nervous about how he'll take it..." Cass's phone rang and she picked it up. Suddenly her face paled, and she was immensely glad she was sitting down.

"Cass...you okay?"

"I... It's Krit's. The baby's Krit's, and Garrett's going to kill it, and he's going to kill me, and he's going to kill Krit."

"Shhh...no he won't."

"He will. And he'll be entitled to... God, we're engaged, and we talked about a baby... and now that I want a family with someone, I'm having someone else's kid!"

"You didn't know."

"I guess... he's going to kill me." A tear slid down her cheek.

"He won't. Not if he really loves you."

She simply nodded.

The doctor knocked hesitantly on the door to Garrett's office.

"Come in."

"Sir you asked me to report to you if Ms. Kincaide came down to the medical area for any reason... she was down this morning... she appears to be pregnant."

"What?"

"Agent Kincaide is pregnant... the father seems to be Agent Krit Lee of the IMF."

"Get the fuck out of here."

"Yes sir." The doctor fairly fled, yet only a moment later there was another tentative knock on the door.

"What?!”

Cassidy pushed open the door cautiously. "Garrett? Can we talk?"

"About what Cassidy? About the fact that you're a whore?"

She slid into the office and closed the door behind her. "Garrett, I'm sorry..."

"Yeah bull shit."

She tried to hide the hurt expression. "Garrett, I'm not happy about this, I love you..."

"So much you got pregnant by another man."

”It was before! Before we were together again... I found out this morning..."

"Go away."

"No," she said shakily.

"Yes."

"I won't leave."

”Why not?"

"Because I love you. Because for a moment I thought I was having your baby and it was the happiest half hour of my life."

"But you're not."

"I know." Cass bit her lip.

"So go the fuck away."

"No, Garrett..."

"Why not?!"

"We just did this. Because I need you, Garrett."

"To take care of your bastard child right?"

"No! Because I love you... Garrett, what do you want me to do?"

"I don't know."

"I'll do it... just don't... don't not love me. I didn't cheat on you, Garrett, how could I have? I haven't seen him since before we got back together."

"I could never not love you."

"I wish this baby was yours..."

"Yeah so do I."

"I don't... I don't want to kill it."

"Then don't."

”But it's not fair to you either."

"No. It's not."

She bit her lip.

"I'll deal."

"But..."

"But what?"

"I know what it's like to be the unwanted baby, too."

"I know."

"And I don't know what to do..."

”Like I do?!"

"I just... I don't want you to be angry with me."

"Just go away for now."

She headed for the door but stopped, turning to face him. "I love you. I still want to be your wife and have your children and spend my life with you."

"You just are having HIS child first."

"Not because I wanted to."

"Just...this will take time okay?"

She nodded, hesitating a moment and kissing his cheek before she left the office.

Garrett sat down, unsure of what to do or what to think. This is what he got for hurting her.
