Indonesian team grills terror-linked students in Pakistan
Indonesian authorities are questioning a team of six Indonesian students, who have
been detained in Pakistan on suspicion of terrorist links.
Indonesia's foreign minister, Hasan Wirayuda, says a group of Indonesian police,
intelligence officials and Foreign Ministry staff have been interviewing the students in
Pakistan for two days.
Mr Wirayuda says the delegation will prepare for the deportation of the six and escort
them home, although he gave no date for their return.
The six Indonesians, who had been studying in the southern city of Karachi before
their arrest, include a younger brother of top terror suspect Hambali, who is now being
held by the United States.
Pakistani officials have accused the students of having links to the Jemaah Islamiah
extremist network.
Pakistan recently told Indonesia it would deport the students, and Indonesian police
have said they will be detained for questioning when they return.
