Police reinforcements arrive in Indonesia's Central Sulawesi
province
Hundreds of police reinforcements have been sent to Indonesia's Sulawaesi island
after sectarian clashes following the weekend murder of three Christians.
A police spokesman says reinforcements have arrived in the Poso district of Central
Sulawesi and one company from Jakarta is on the way.
He says Poso town is calm but reinforcements are deployed in the Pamona Utara
district to guard the funeral of a Christian church official and his driver.
They were shot dead by unidentified attackers on Saturday.
In another incident, an angry mob of Muslims beat to death a 23-year-old Christian
man during a rally on Sunday.
The crowd was protesting against the fatal shooting by police of a suspect in attacks
last month, which killed 10 Christians in the province.
