Indon Navy to Build Security Posts at Maluku, E Timor Border
Ambon - The Indonesian Navy will build naval security posts at the border of Maluku
province and the tiny country of East Timor, the chief of its Eastern Fleet Command,
Rear Adm Slamet Subiyanto, said here Monday.
Subiyanto said the posts need to be set up to strengthen and control the security at
the border between Indonesia and East Timor, as well as Australia.
The posts, he said, will be built at the eastern Indonesian islands of Wetar and Kisar,
a very small island, yet the administrative and cultural center of Maluku's easternmost
Moluccan islands.
