Stop Abortion~Not A Beating Heart!

Would you consider abortion in the following 4 situations?

1. A preacher and his wife are very poor. They already have 14 children. Now she is pregnant with the 15th child. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?
2. The father is sick with syphilis, the mother has TB. They have 4 children, the 1st is blind, the 2nd and 3rd are deaf, the 4th has TB. She is pregnant with number 5. Given the extreme situation, would you consider abortion?
3. A white man raped a 13 year old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?
4. A teeange girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiance is not the father of the baby, and he's very upset. Would you consider recommending abortion?

In the first case, you have just killed John Wesley. One of the great evangelists in the 19th century...
In the second case, you have killed Beethoven...
In the third case, you have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer...
And if you said yes to the fourth case, you have just murdered Jesus Christ!!!

Partial Birth Abortion

Here is an apt description by Dr. James Dobson: "Over two days the cervix is dilated. Then an ultrasound device and forceps are used to reach in and grab the baby's feet. The little body is pulled downward until just the head remains in the cervix. Next, the abortionist grasps the nape of the neck and cuts open the back of the skull with blunt scissors. A device called a cannula is then inserted into the wound and the brain material is sucked out. If kidneys or other organs are desired, they are removed while the child is partially in the vagina. Initially at least, these surgical procedures are performed on a live baby who has not specifically been anesthetized (although the mother's medication may reduce some of the pain)." A partial birth abortion (Dilation and Extraction) can happen and does happen up until and including the time of birth. As long as the head is in the vagina, you have no civil rights, you are declared not human, you are legally murdered. So much for "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Many, many people say that abortion is to save the life of the mother. With this procedure, that argument is total false. The baby is practically full term when this procedure is done and the baby is pulled down the birth canal. What medical complication could there be in where the partial birth abortion procedure could save the life of the mother or stop her from being harmed that giving birth normally would cause? There is none. This procedure is for nothing else other than to murder the baby and not allow a loving couple to adopt it.

A Little History Of This Debate

Roe vs. Wade 1973

Abortion should be a decision between a woman and her physician, the Supreme Court rules January 22 in Roe v. Wade. The court's 7-to-2 decision upholds a woman's right to privacy in opting for abortion during the first 6 months of pregnancy. "Right-to-life" groups work to undermine the ruling.

1976

The Hyde Amendment to the Health, Education and Welfare appropriations bill clears Congress by a 256-114 vote September 16 and bars use of federal funds for abortions "except where the life of the mother would be endangered if the fetus were brought to term." From 250,000 to 300,000 U.S. women received Medicaid-funded abortions in 1975, critics call the new legislation discriminatory and uncon-stitutional, supporters- including Rep. Henry Hyde, 52 (R. Ill.)- contend that the government should not use tax revenues to fund operations which a substantial percentage of Americans consider immoral. Public-opinion seems to have changed somewhat in three years. Perhaps because of the result of said liberal agenda?

1977

Nothing in the Constitution requires that states use Medicaid money to fund elective abortions, nor does any federal law, says the Supreme Court in a 6-to-3 ruling handed down June 20. The senate votes 56 to 42 June 29 to bar the funding of elective abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or medical necessity. The House votes 238 to 162 August 2 to bar such funding except where childbirth would endanger the life of the mother. Right-to -life groups have mobilized to defeat politicians supporting legalized abortion; critics object that abortion, while legal, is becoming a privilege for the rich. President Carter concedes that discriminating against the poor in abortion matters is unfair but echoes the late President Kennedy in saying, "There are many things in life that are not fair." Rosaura Jiminez, 27, dies in pain October 3 at the hands of an illegal McAllen, Texas, abortionist, leaving a 5-year-old daughter. The cutback in federal Medicaid funds for abortion drove her to seek out the local woman, and hers is the first recorded death by illegal abortion since the cutback.

1980

The U.S. Supreme Court upholds the Hyde Amendment of 1976 in a 5-to-4 ruling handed down June 30 to the delight of anti-abortion groups. Abortions paid for by Medicaid funds fell from 295,000 to only 2,100 for fiscal 1978, 3,900 for fiscal 1979, but some states continue to pay for abortions (average cost: $200) entirely out of their own funds and without federal reimbursement.

1989

The U.S. Supreme Court returns the issue of abortion to the political arena, ruling July 3 in Webster v. Reproductive Health Services that states can limit access to abortion. Right-to-life groups hail the 5-to-4 decision, pro-choice groups anticipate further erosion of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, the Florida legislature votes October 12 to reject measures proposed by the governor to restrict abortion, but Pennsylvania adopts strict new laws on abortion. Congress votes in October to weaken the Hyde Amendment of 1976 by authorizing Medicare payment for abortions in victims of rape and incest; President Bush vetoes the measure and Congress fails to override.

1992

The U.S. Supreme Court reaffirms its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision on abortion but its 5-to-4 ruling June 29 in Planned Parenthood v. Casey supports a Pennsylvania law limiting a woman's right to abortion, which in any case is unavailable in 83 percent of America. The Court December 7 lets stand a Mississippi law requiring a 24-hour waiting period which effectively bars many poorer women from obtaining legal abortions

1996

President Clinton vetoes a bill April 10 that would have outlawed "partial birth" abortions- a certain type of late-term abortions- even when it was needed to safeguard a woman's health: women, he says, "should not become pawns in a larger debate."
Is this a great guy or what?
**Pssst, Bill Clinton, the innocent little children suffer for this one. What about the children?

Congratulations, Bill Clinton- it took you and your buddies 23 years, but you have succeeded. You have solved the problem. The problem was with an unbending and unforgiving society that ostracized the un-wed mother and was predjudiced against her little innocent witness. You made it legal to kill them anytime, anyway, anyhow.
