Legacy

This is the fan-fiction story of Final Fantasy VIII I was raving about. I don't want to give away the whole story to you and ruin the plot and the joy of finding out things for your self, so Im not going to say much about it. It starts out some time in the future Kane (the main character) has a destiny to follow and you could join him on his quest. Anyway if you played Final Fantasy VIII you should already have and idea of what I'm saying.

             Alonda has an angelic appearance that can not be mistaken, an incredible smile, and the prettiest shade of blue eye's I had ever seen. "Kane why don't you answer when I call you? You are to answer by your designated ID Cadet seven one one. Got it? " I just nod to show I acknowledge her statement. She was correct anyway I just don't like to be call Cadet seven one one. I feel it's foolish to classified individuals by numbers. But when I am a member of CLAD it won't even matter. "Kane, please walk with me." I asked what for, but she smiled and ignore my question. "I notice how well you did during the test; you lasted longer than your peers with the exception of Cid of course. But anyway I wanted to send my con-grants. You know if you would stop getting into so much trouble with Cid, you would have been my favorite student…." I could tell where this was heading and I didn't want to here it, so I ignored her comments.. 

                 As we continue on our stroll we were coming upon some under classmates playing a card game. It reminded me of the time when I used to play. I still love to game, but I don't play anymore. You could say I grown out of it. "Kane, are you even listening to me, I want to help you know." Form her expression I could sense her concern, for she tries so hard to mend the rivalry between Cid and I. I could at least show some compassion. "I've known you and Cid for what seem like forever. And your always at each others throats, it needs to stop. I just wanted to inform you first that I'm planning on grouping you guys up for the mission...well here we are your dorm room you better go and get ready. I'll see you later, okay.” Trying to sound official. ”Cadet seven one one you are dismissed to your quarters."

              I couldn't believe she put Cid and I together. I watch her as she continued down the hall she glanced back to see if I was still watching her then smiled. I reach in my pocket to retrieve my access card, but the door open. " Hey Kane my man!! " it was Lance. " What took you so long, you better hurry up man we don't have much time." He was right that little walk with Alonda took up more time than I realized. I quickly showered and got into uniform. The thought of Cid and I on teams kept pressing at my mind. "OH MAN, KANE WERE LATE WE GOT TO GO NOW!!" Lance was right we wasted to much time and I dare not speak of the penalty for tardiness. " Instructor Centure is going to kill us."

               I told him it was not that serious, but he just kept right on complaining. We had to run and knowing this school O' to well the hall were sure to be crowded. Lance was ahead of me as we push our way through the crowd. Up head I could see the main entrance. " Come on Kane move it man." If only Lance new how hard I was trying to keep up with him, he most likely would have not maid that comment. We were not to far off from the docks now. As we turned the next corner leading pass the danger room, to my surprise a class door open revealing a girl exiting. I was not able to stop in time, I toppled over her landing face first on the paved floor. I quickly got up and kept going. "Oh gosh I'm sorry!" I heard her calling, but I couldn't stop I had to keep going.

                Lance was well ahead of me. The docks were in plain view now. Finally I had arrive panting and aching from the accident earlier. I spotted Lance through the crowd and started towards him. "Cadet seven one one it's nice of you to join us. Can you please take you position amongst the rest of the class." It was Alonda. I was surprise she did not penalize me for my tardiness. Alonda along with the other instructors were giving their classes a last minute pep talk and assigning them in groups. I already knowing who my team member was decided not to pay attention. " I must remind you, you are being graded this is the final test. The Droids will be watching your every move. You will receive further briefing about the mission on board. Now every one line up and face me."
