Welcome Suspense Lovers! If you haven't run accross any Dean R. Koontz novels in your book travels, you have missed an incredible storyteller. This gentleman really knows his suspense!
I am highlighting a couple of his most recent novels, along with my own personal favorites. I can already see a second page in the future! :-)

Dean
From the Corner of His Eye
travels you across America with Bartholomew Lampion and a host of other characters in the way only Dean R. Koonz knows how.
Bart is born in Bright Beach, California on a day of tragedy and terror.
On the same day, a thousand miles away, a ruthless man learns he has a mortal enemy named Bartholomew.
In San Franciso, a girl is born, the result of a violent rape.
Her survival is miraculous and her destiny is linked to the fates of Barty and the man who stalks him.
This novel is a definate page-turner!

Dean
Intensity - is a novel where the name says it all! Oh, how I loved this one.
Read this when you have a few hours to spare because you won't want to put it down.
Chyna Shepherd is a woman whose troubled childhood taught her the hard rules of survival and embedded a deep suspicion within her.
On a visit to the family farm of a friend she enters into a situation where her most disturbing instincts prove reliable.
Intensity unfolds over the course of just twenty-four hours and proves Dean R. Koontz is a master of suspense.

Dean
Watchers - is definately my favorite!
It was released in 1988, which makes it older than some of the other books listed, but, to me will always be the best Dean R. Koontz novel written.

TheHouseOfThunder
The House of Thunder - 1992
Susan Thorton awakens in a hospital, after a near-fatal car crash, to see four men lurking outside her door-men who exactly resemble those who killed her boyfriend years before.
Can these be the same men? As she tries to uncover the identities of those stalking her, Susan enters a terrifying nightmare, one from which she may never escape.
Since this was the first Koontz novel I read, it really left an imprint.
It also has one of the best twist endings I've ever read.

DarkRiversOfTheHeart
Dark Rivers of the Heart - 1994
A man and a woman meet by chance in a bar. Suddenly, they find themselves fleeing from a powerful agency—the woman hunted for what she knows, and the man mistaken as her comrade in a resistance movement.
This is edge of your seat action from beginning to end.
If you have any problems with secret government technology, you'll love this book!

FearNothing
Fear Nothing - 1998
Because Chris Snow has xeroderma pimentosum -a rare, and usually fatal, genetic disorder -even a brief exposure to sunlight can cause irreparable damage.
So Snow only comes at night. The novel opens with the death of Snow's father, a tragic, but seemingly innocent incident that tears open the fabric of Snow's life.
He soon becomes embroiled in a conspiracy that seems to involve everyone in the small town of Moonlight Bay, where Snow has spent his entire life.
What begins as a disturbing puzzle quickly becomes a sinister conspiracy as Snow uncovers evidence of uncanny intelligence in many of the local animals and inhumanely vicious tendencies in some of the human residents of the Bay.
Chilling chase scenes steadily increase the breakneck pace as Snow, assisted by his remarkable dog, is pursued through the night by unseen forces.

SeizeTheNight
Seize the Night - 1999
The tale is set in Moonlight Bay, a metaphoric night town for Koontz, a place where anything can happen after dark. Christopher Snow isn't afraid of the dark. Forced to live in the shadows because of a rare genetic disorder, he knows the night world better than anyone. At no time does Moonlight Bay look more beautiful than at night. Yet it is precisely then that the secluded little town reveals its menace.
Now children are disappearing, and there's nothing their families can do about it. Christoper believes the lost children are still alive and that their disappearance is connected to the town's most carefully kept, most ominous secret—a secret only he can uncover, a secret that will force him to confront an adversary at one with the most dangerous darkness of all. The darkness inside the human heart.
This is book two in a trilogy featuring Chris Snow, and I'm waiting in anticipation for the third.

One Door Away From Heaven
One Door Away From Heaven - 2002
A disabled child, a life-worn private detective, an innocent ex-con, and a mysterious orphan find themselves drawn together in a dawning awareness of the sanctity of life and the need to protect it from the efforts of those practicing utilitarian bioethics.
