National Anthem
The national anthem is played on
all ceremonial occasions of national
importance and while the national flag
is being raised and lowered. Its music
was composed in 1932 by Professor
Phra Jenduriyang. while the lyrics ware
written in 1939 by Colonel Luang
Saranuprahhandh. A literal translation
is as follows:
The nation is made up of the Thais.
It is a nation of Thais in every part of the land.
It has maintained its rule because the Thais have always been united.
The Thai people are peace-loving, but they are not cowards in times of war.
They shall not allow others to take away their freedom.
The Thais are ready to sacrifice every drop of blood for the safety of the nation.
