Sydenham Vs Brett Contracting Cowboys
Sydenham opened the scoring in the top of the second inning, scoring three times with a five hit inning.  Shortstop Chris Carroll led off the inning with a triple into the right field corner.  Catcher Doug Pixley followed with a single, scoring Carroll.  After a strikeout and a walk, pitcher Dan Hughson drove in the second run of the inning with an RBI single to left field.  Third baseman Trevor Corkey added the final run of the inning with a single to centre that scored Hughson.  The Cowboys responded in the bottom of the inning, scoring three times to tie the score.  First baseman Kevin Buchan led off the inning with a homerun to left centre field.  Designated player Adam Lake drove in the Cowboy's second run with a ground out that scored third baseman Brandon Burtch, who had reached base on a walk.  The Cowboys tied the score when centre fielder Jeff Hannah reached on a walk, stole second, one of his three stolen bases in the game, and scored on a error.  The score remained tied until the bottom of the fifth inning when the Cowboys scored the winning run.  Left fielder Pat Severin hit a one out single and moved to second on a walk to first baseman Kevin Buchan.  Severin then scored on a fielder's choice hit by second baseman Terry Redden.
