Sunbury Kim's Variety Vs Brett Contracting Cowboys
The Cowboys opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning, scoring two runs, after getting out of a bases loaded, one out situation for Sunbury in the top of the inning.  Centre fielder Jeff Hannah led off with a single.  Shortstop Doug Kane followed with a single of his own that was misplayed by Sunbury, allowing Hannah to scored.  After a passed ball allowed Kane to move to third, third baseman Pat Severin hit a sharp ground ball to second base.  Sunbury second baseman Matt Herrington made a nice diving play to record the out, however Kane was able to score on the play, giving the Cowboys a 2-0 lead.  Third baseman Craig Hollingsworth led off the second inning with a solo home run to centre field, cutting the lead to 2-1.  The Cowboys had a big offensive inning in the third, scoring four times.  Hannah hit a single to start the rally and proceeded to steal second.  Kane followed with a double, scoring Hannah.  Severin then hit a homerun to right centre field, scoring Kane.  Catcher Craig Pearce walked and scored one out later when first baseman Kevin Buchan hit a double down the left field line.  Sunbury rallied to score one run in the seventh on an RBI ground out by centre fielder Paul Tolles that scored Herrington, who had walked to lead off the inning.
