Battersea Vs East Side Mario's
East Side Mario's opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning when shortstop Ken Spicer delivered a triple with one out and later scored.  East Side's scored twice more in the second inning.  Pitcher Bob Finucan led off the inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by third baseman Derek Shaver.  Shaver scored on an RBI single by  second baseman Mike Rathwell.  In the bottom of the third inning East Side Mario's extended their lead to 5-0 with the help of an RBI double by Rathwell and several defensive errors by Battersea.  Battersea scored their first runs of the year in the fifth inning on a two RBI single by Kirk Bertrim that scored centre fielder Kevin Burtch and second baseman Justin Sleeth, both of whom had walked.  East Side's scored their final run of the game in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Kurt Clark.  Battersea rallied in the seventh, scoring two runs on RBI's by third baseman Greg Dixon and Travis Monds, but fell short in their comeback attempt.

Enterprise Vs Central Frontenac Midgets
Lyle Brown homered, singled and drove in three runs to lead the offensive charge for Enterprise in the opening game of the season.  Kevin Brown pitched a complete game 4 hitter, striking out 12 to gain the victory.  Central Frontenac opened the scoring  in the home half of the first inning.  Second baseman Adam Garrison reached base when he was hit by a pitch with one out.  Starting pitcher Mike Cooke then singled one out later, moving Garrison into scoring position.  Third baseman Jamie Purdon then delivered an RBI single to right centre field.  Cooke scored later in the inning on a pass ball, giving Central a 2-0 lead after the first inning.  Enterprise cut into the lead in the second inning.  Kevin Brown lead off the inning with a double to right centre field and scored on a single up the middle by catcher Al Fenwick.  Enterprise proceeded to load the bases with no one out but they could not score again in the second.  Enterprise blew the game open in the third inning when they scored eight runs on five hits.  Centre fielder Brian Murphy was hit by a pitch to begin the rally.  Following a walk to third baseman Doug Weese, Kevin Brown delivered an RBI single to left.  Following an RBI ground out by Fenwick, second baseman Albert Jelly singled to right, driving in one run.  After an RBI double to left by third baseman Carl Lyons, Lyle Brown delivered a two run home run.  Murphy rounded out the scoring in the inning by hitting a two RBI triple to centre that scored left fielder Lester Brown, who had singled and right fielder Shawn Rines, who had walked.  Central Frontenac replied by scoring one run in the bottom of the third inning when shortstop Chris Bowes singled to lead off the inning and scored one out later on an RBI triple to right centre field by catcher Neil Puffer.  Enterprise rounded out the scoring in the fourth inning on RBI's by Lyons and Lyle Brown.
