The Brett Contracting Cowboys were able to stave off elimination against East Side Mario's with a 3-0 victory.  The Cowboys opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning.  Centre fielder Jeff Hannah reached base on an error to start the inning.  After stealing second, Hannah scored one out later on an RBI triple to right centre field by shortstop Doug Kane.  Kane
scored when the next batter, catcher Craig Pearce, grounded out to second base.  The Cowboys added a run in the bottom of the second inning after East Side Mario's had left a runner stranded at third base.  Third baseman Ken Crook led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by designated player Mike Halligan.  Right fielder Adam Lake then grounded out to third base, with Crook moving to third on the throw.  East Side Mario's attempted to throw Crook out and Crook was able to score on an overthrow.  In the third inning, East Side Mario's left runners at second and third.  In the top of the fourth inning, first baseman Ryan Bowes hit a one out triple but East Side Mario's could not score Bowes.
