Battersea Vs Frontenac Cyclones Men
In a game played at the Ken Garrett Memorial Park in Inverary the home Frontenac Cyclones Men jumped out to an early 3-0 after the first inning.  Battersea pitcher Mike Paul started the game with some wildness and walked the bases loaded with no one out.  Centre fielder Brad Cashman, second baseman Mike Rathwell and catcher Derek Shaver took bases on balls.  First baseman Ken Crook delivered the first run of the game when he hit a ground out that scored Cashman.  Shortstop Ken Spicer then followed with a single that scored both Rathwell and Shaver.  The Frontenac Men then added two more runs in the second to take a commanding 5-0 lead.  Right fielder Don Burns led off the inning with a walk and scored when left field Paul Halligan hit a single to left field which was misplayed by the left fielder.  Halligan later scored in the inning with the team's fifth run.  Battersea scored their first run of the game in the top of the third inning on an RBI single by centre fielder Jason Moodie that scored right fielder Ryan Dixon, who had led off the inning with a single.  Frontenac then responded with two more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 7-1 lead.  Rathwell started the rally drawing a one out walk.  Shaver followed with a single and starting pitcher Kurt Clark drove in Rathwell with an RBI single.  Shaver scored on a sacrifice fly by Crook to end the scoring in the inning.  Battersea made a large comeback attempt in the fifth inning, scoring five times and driving Clark from the game.  With one out Moodie drew a walk, but he was forced at second base on a ground out by left fielder Kevin Burtch.  Mike Paul then reached base on an error and shortstop Chris Switzer followed with an RBI double to right field.  Second baseman Justin Sleeth then drew a base on balls to load the bases.  Third baseman Greg Dixon then followed with a line drive homerun over the centre field fence for a grand slam, making the score 7-6 for the Frontenac Cyclones Men.  The Cyclones responded in the bottom of the inning with a two out rally that produced two more runs.  Halligan started the rally with a two out walk and moved to second on a single by Cashman.  Both runners moved up as Rathwell drew his fourth walk of the game to load the bases.  Shaver then hit a hard shot to shortstop that was misplayed allowing both Halligan and Cashman to score.  Battersea scored the final run of the game when Mike Paul hit a homerun to left field off of reliever Bob Finucan.

Enterprise Vs Frontenac Cyclones Midgets
Enterprise jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning when centre fielder Brian Murphy led off the game with a solo homerun.  Enterprise added two more runs in the inning to take a 3-0 lead.  Third baseman Doug Weese hit an RBI single and later scored on a sacrifice fly by first baseman Kevin Brown.  Enterprise added two more runs in the fifth inning when a two out ball hit by Brown was misplayed in the outfield, allowing left fielder Albert Brown, who had reached on a fielder's choice, and Weese, who had walked, to score.  The Frontenac Cyclones Midgets scored their lone run of the game in the sixth inning when centre fielder Tom Hanna hit a sacrifice fly to centre field.  Enterprise finished the scoring in the seventh inning, adding two more runs.  Kevin Brown again hit a ball that was misplayed by the outfield and allowed two runners to score.  Pitcher Lyle Brown who had reached on a walk and Weese who had reached on a fielder's choice, both crossed the plate on the play.
