is now being used as a pretext to censor ALL free public discussion. Microsoft, the company that owes so much to the conservative-Republican administration, is now returning the favor by blazing the trail for internet censorship. Other chatroom providers are now under pressure to follow the company's example.
Are discussion boards and the Usenet next? The US junta recognizes the danger of free discussion to its underhand projects, the construction of a world empire on the pretext of a terrorism that the junta itself has manufactured for the purpose.

The necessary counterpart of this is the creation of a police state to frustrate all criticism of, and opposition to, its aims and methods. And with colored opponents condemned as Qaeda supporters, and white ones as pedophiles, it will have the opposition neatly crushed.

On Sept. 24, 2003, I unsuccessfully tried to post the above to 10 unmoderated Usenet groups, in two "batches" of five groups (via Google Groups posting). Several attempts at posting in the next few days met with the same result. In the same period, I was able to make several postings on other subjects, so there doesn't seem to have been any general problem with postings at the time.
On Sept. 30 I made a posting called "Usenet Now Politically Censored ...", to alt.politics and four other groups, which included the URL of this page. I invited readers to try posting its text themselves, and several added it to the thread. I was able to repost one of these postings myself.
