A Commonplace Diary of Current Events

— 2002 —

4 Jan. 02

The Special Air Service commander Lt-Gen. Cedric Delves replaces Air Marshal Jock Stirrup as Britain's representative in the US Central Command (which handles the Afghan war). CentCom is located in the McDill airforce base near Tampa, Florida. Delves will sit alongside Gen. Tommy Franks (the Commander-in-Chief of CentCom).

Florida appears as one of the geographical centres of the War of Terror [i.e. of cabalistic conspiracy]. (The main centre appears to be the Washington-Langley-FortDetrick combination.)

Three or four of the 'suspected 19 Sept. 11 hijackers' were said to have received flight training at the secure Pensacola Naval Air Station in the 1990s. Hijackers etc are supposed to have enquired about crop-spraying aircraft in Florida. [And local police supposedly found a group of Middle Easterners with plans of a nuclear power station on them, then 'let them go'.]

The first anthrax attack was on a Florida media office (a preliminary 'field experiment'?).

Florida was also the cliffhanger state in the presidental election last winter, whatever this might have to do with it. That election came down to a sordid legal scrabbling, between the (Democratic) Florida supreme court, (Republican) Florida governor (Jeb Bush, the president's brother) and the (Republican) Federal Supreme Court, over the last nose-picking chad. (Is this how 200 years of American democracy has finished up?.) Last autumn Bin Laden suggested, in a Pakistani newspaper, that September 11 was Florida Jews' revenge for making Bush president. Perhaps it was Florida Republicans (amongst others).

'US "PLANNING AIR BASE NEAR AFGHANISTAN"

'The United States is to build an air base on former Soviet Union territory close to Afghanistan, it is reported.

'The Kyrgyzstan government has given the go-ahead for an air base west of the capital Bishkek, USA Today says.

'Planes are set to arrive next week as part of a long-term US presence, a Pentagon official told the newspaper.

'The base would be only 200 miles from the border with China and close to oil fields in Uzbekistan.'

(BBC Ceefax, 4 Jan. 02, p.121)

'HIJACK ACCUSED SEEKS TV TRIAL

'Zacarias Moussaoui, accused of being the 20th man in the September 11 hijack plot, has asked a US judge to allow his conspiracy trial to be televised.

'The 33-year-old French Moroccan, who lived in London for nine years, faces an Autumn trial accused of involvement in the New York and Washington attacks.

'TV coverage would provide "an extra layer of protection", said his lawyer.'

(ITV Teletext, 4 Jan. 02, p.304)

(5 Jan. 02)

'PLANE CRASHES INTO FLORIDA SKYSCRAPER

'A small plane piloted by a 15-year-old student has crashed into the 40-storey Bank of America building in Tampa, Florida, after an unauthorized take-off.

'The Coast Guard said the teenager left St Petersburg-Clearwater Airport in a Cessna 172, ignored signals to land and plunged into the skyscraper.

'Police identified the pilot as Charles Bishop, 15, the only person on board.

'The FBI said it did not believe the crash was related to terrorism.'

(BBC Ceefax, 6 Jan. 02, at 1:20 a.m. GMT)

This incident underlines the amateur nature of most terrorism (if it was not mere copycatting by a disturbed teenager, say), and the small-scale results of most terrorism. The farcical explosive shoes is another such example.

The kamikaze attacks of Sept. 11 were in a class of their own, for organization, skilled execution, and effectiveness in terms of death and destruction.

The FBI's 'belief' that this incident was not terrorist-related may or may not be a cover-up similar to that on the New York (Queens) airliner crash of 12 Nov. 2001.

Why Tampa? Florida is the second heartland of conspiracy. Was it simply a case of a disturbed teenager 'set off' by this fact?

6 Jan. 02

Florida police claim to have found a note in the plane expressing sympathy for bin Laden and support for the Sept. 11 attacks.

Israeli leader Ariel Sharon has said that the arms shipload [intercepted by the Israeli military in the Red Sea] was ordered by Yasser Arafat. He thus backs up the Israeli military's claim.

This seems another example of collaboration of right-wing political and military leaders (as in the USA). This group is no doubt working hand-in-glove with the US cabal.

7 Jan. 02

Charles Bishop, the 15-year-old involved [see above], flew over the McDill air force base on his way to the Bank of America skyscraper. This base is the seat of the military Central Command handling the Afghan campaign. As usual, the 'coincidences' are piling up.

8 Jan. 02

The US government said it had been confident that the plane was not a threat (when it buzzed McDill airspace), but didn't explain how it could have known this.
(ABC News on BBC News 24)

10 Jan. 02

'Washington believes the Palestinian Authority was involved in an attempt to gain 50 tons of smuggled weapons.

'A senior US official said the judgement was based on "compelling evidence" presented by Isaeli intelligence. ...'

(BBC Ceefax, 10 Jan. 02, p.114)

They would, of course. They are no doubt conspiring hand-in-glove with the Israelis.

(This is further evidence of the analogousness of the U.S. and Israel: in both cases, a right-wing government, military leaders and 'intelligence' services working as a common-interest group.)

We can speculate that America took the lead in getting-up this arms shipment: it has by far the greater resources, and a global reach.

The Sharon government no doubt considers itself an ally of the U.S. cabal; the cabal, for its part, would consider the Israeli government its satellite. Satellitism will do for the present; however the cabal will only be ultimately satisfied with a complete puppet, and at this stage will ditch Sharon (to whom puppetdom would presumably be unacceptable).

The cabal has already used the military regime in Pakistan in this way. Having used it as a base from which to destroy the Taleban regime in Afghanistan, it is now supporting Pakistan's browbeating into complete puppetdom. It clearly won't accept Musharraf as a puppet leader, and is backing the current moves of putting him in an impossible situation, from whence he will topple.

They may be hoping to draw China in in support of Pakistan and against India, so that they can start on China. Thus, they could take up again by systematic means, what they attempted one-off in May 1999 [the provocation-bombing of China's Belgrade embassy -- see 'CIA-Instigated Bombing ...'].

Counter-Pro's [the CIA's Counter-Proliferation Division's] 'opposition to weapons of mass destruction' can be turned equally against Iraq or China, for example, as a means of aggrandizement.

In Milosevic's Serbia we had a preview of the methods of totalitarianism (scientifically-organized disinformation, propaganda, violence and butchery) stripped of their Marxist ideology and put to the service of 'nationalism'. These were stunningly effective, like Soviet communism in its heyday, totally unlike the moribund agitprop of the late Soviet regime.

These are the tools of the totalitarianist, naked power politics of the incipient future.

'BIN LADEN "FLED IN DECEMBER"'

'Osama bin Laden not only escaped the US bombing of eastern Afghanistan, but has reportedly fled the region by sea, according to a CIA intelligence report.

'Analysts said the terrorist leader escaped from the Tora Bora cave complex around the first week of December.

'CIA officials said a captured al-Qaeda fighter claims to have witnessed bin Laden handing control to a deputy.'

(ITV Teletext, 15 Jan. 02, p.311)

Al-Qaeda was created by the CIA as an excuse for the US cabal to set up an empire and destroy democracy.

Bin Laden is incresingly a cabalistic fiction-figure, a figure of CIAberspace, to be manipulated as the cabal finds convenient. "He" is a rod for the lightning of cabalistic imperialism.

No doubt it will soon be announced that there is evidence that he has turned up in some country or other, the next target for conquest. Will it be Iraq (bold), some other Middle East country, or even China? Or some other fresh and more original target?

Since bin Laden was evidently originally a real person, it would of course be disastrous if the real one emerged to contradict the cabal's fiction-figure. So the original must now be dead or under control.

If the former, the cabal must rely on existing recordings of bin Laden plus actors and computer-faking for future videos of the Master (as, in this case, it must already be doing).

'CUBA WOULD RETURN CAMP ESCAPERS TO US

'The Cuban authorities would return any Taleban or al-Qaeda suspects who escaped from the US base at Guantanamo, defence minister Raul Castro has said.

'"If anyone who is lucky [!] enough to escape, I doubt he would get through the minefields,' the Cuban president's younger brother said.

'"But if anyone gets out alive, we would send him back," he went on.

'He said US-Cuban co-operation over the base could be extended to other areas.'

(BBC Ceefax, 20 Jan. 02)

There is evident empathy between the old communist totalitarianism and the upcoming American variety. Savagely-repressive concentration camps are a phenomenon well understood by the former.

There was too, an evident rapport between Bush and [Russian president] Putin during the latter's visit to the USA.

Putin, the street tough (well, a small one) who graduated to KGB colonel. (See London Times, 19 Jan. 02.)

21 Jan. 02

"[Foreign Secretary] Jack Straw signalled Britain's growing unease at the treatment of more than 100 al-Qaida suspects held by American forces in Cuba.' (ITV Teletext, 21 Jan. 02, review of Guardian leader.)

What is stirring among the Labour government? Some dim ancestral memory of socialism perhaps? Or even of humanity?

There is now the beginnings of a retreat from the sordid puppetism of the early days of the War of Terror. No longer do [opposition leader] Duncan Smith and [Prime Minister] Blair compete to be the US cabal's no. 1 war puppet.

But will it be too late by the time that the British political leaders finally repent and turn to confront the dragon that ravins to consume us all?

22 Jan. 02

Five Indian policemen were shot dead and 16 injured outside the US Information Center in Calcutta, by gunmen on motorbikes. India claimed that the Pakistani intelligence service was behind the Islamic militants who carried out the attack; Pakistan denied this. (A man from Dubai was said to be involved.)

The US cabal, or its more militant wing, unhappy at the lack of an Indo-Pakistani war (current browbeating of Pakistan is not enough) has supplemented last December's attack on India's parliament. (India claimed that Pakistani intelligence was also behind the December attack.)

Dubai was where CIA representative Larry Mitchell was said to have met bin Laden (on 12 July 2001).

British intelligence officers sent to Guantanamo report that the British al-Qaeda prisoners have no complaints. This is an unsurprising report from the MI5/MI6 sidekicks of the CIA.

Meanwhile 'Amnesty International has requested access to the [same] US detention camp in Cuba ... The group fears those held are being subjected to techniques to "break" their spirit prior to interrogation.' (ITV Teletext, 22 Jan. 02)
-- This adds to Amnesty's previous call (aalong with that of the UN) for an investigation into the Qala-e-Jangi massacre [of Taleban and al-Qaeda prisoners near Mazar-e-Sharif].

The real al-Qaeda bigwigs, those who can give away the secrets of their CIA patrons, have probably already been killed or are being held in secret (and may be subsequently killed).
The internees in Guantanamo are probably (relative) small fry.

23 Jan. 02

(4:30 a.m. GMT) 'The American Civil Liberties Union has accused two New Jersey counties of not releasing names of jail detainees held since the September 11 attacks' (ITV Teletext, p.318)

'US troops [in Saudi Arabia] have been told they are no longer required to wear Muslim-style robes when venturing off-base.' (ibid)
('Off-base' is an apt term.)

-- This ruling followed the winning of a ccivil law suit by a women soldier against [defense secretary] Donald Rumsfeld, on grounds that her (?)civil liberties and religious beliefs were violated. (BBC World Service news)

BUSH PLANS HUGE DEFENCE SPENDING RISE

'President Bush has unveiled proposals for a multi-billion dollar increase in American military spending.

'It would increase the defence budget by $48bn (£34bn) next year, bringing it to a total of $379bn (£270bn).

'He told military reserve officers in Washington the money would buy more sophisticated weapons such as precision guided bombs and unmanned aircraft.

'It would also pay for a military pay rise [!!] and missile defences, he said.

(BBC Ceefax, 23 Jan. 02, p.109)

Bush has allocated $38bn to 'homeland security' (ABC news, 24 Jan. 02).
29 Jan: British Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon has copycatted Bush's military pay rise, announcing pay rises of 3.7%+ for the British armed forces.

24 Jan. 02

(1 a.m. GMT) Pro- and anti-president mobs are confronting each other in Venezuela over the president's nuttily-heroic 'revolution from above'. The situation is reminiscent of Chile under Allende [in the early 1970s]. No doubt the CIA is orchestrating the situation from behind the scenes (as it tried to do in Chile). Stoking up El Presidente the better to bring him down and install a right-wing and/or US puppet regime (or even invade). Profit from conflict is the salient technique [of the US cabal] in the contemporary world. Venezuela is another major oil producer, and that's why they want it too.

'US. The State Department has said it is imposing sanctions on three Chinese firms for transferring chemical and biological weapons technology to Iran.'
(BBC Ceefax, 24 Jan. 02, p.142)

29 Jan. 02

People are now being arrested on 'the most tenuous (evidence of) connections with terrorism'.
-- BBC 1, 6 O'Clock News, reporter commentting on the arrest of six more people in northern England.

They were released without charge four days later (police said).

BUSH TO FOCUS ON WAR, DEFENCE, ECONOMY

'President Bush is expected to focus on the war against terrorism, security and the US economy in his first State of the Nation address.

'In the wake of the September attacks, the annual address is seen as one of the most important for decades.

'Mr Bush is expected to warn that up to 100,000 [!!!] Afghanistan-trained extremists pose a security threat around the world.

'He will say that toppling the Taleban is just the start of the war on terror.'

(BBC Ceefax, 29 Jan. 02, at 9 p.m. GMT)

This man (or rather his masters) is truly worthy of Uncle Joe [Stalin]. At best (from his/their viewpoint[s]) this speech will be a pronunciamento.

-- And the National Security Council is too meet this week ('to decide the status of the Guantanamo detainees').

30 Jan. 02

This figure of -- 'up to' -- 100,000 was from Karen Hughes, a senior Bush adviser, and 'had been provided by the President's national security staff' (London Times, 30 Jan., p.1). Bush didn't use it in his speech, referring rather to tens of thousands of al-Qaeda terrorists ... 'thousands of killers ...'. These 'are not -- are now spread throughout the world' he said in another apparent Bushslip. (Speech broadcast live on BBC News 24 at c.2-3 a.m. GMT)

For a collection of Bushisms, see Mark Crispin Miller, The Bush Dyslexicon (Bantam Books, 2001).

President Bush has asked Tom Daschle, the leader of the Democratic majority in the Senate, to limit the probe into the September 11 attacks, 'so that resources can be concentrated on the War on Terror' (CNN News, 29 Jan. 02).

-- What resources would be diverted from tthe 'War on Terror' by a full-scale enquiry into September 11? This is one more piece of evidence, if any were needed, of the Bush administration's complicity in the attacks.

31 Jan. 02

Not a worldwide fifth column of al-Qaeda agents but one of CIA agents! As is so often the case, the cabal are -- in reality -- describing themselves, their own techniques, their own henchmen.

The CIA has been involving itself (in an operational role) in the Israeli-Palestinian situation since the mid 1990s, a timetable which corresponds with its grooming of al-Qaeda.

[CIA director] George Tenet has presided over it the whole time (he was one of the few Clinton appointees kept on by Bush).
