As all of you know, the Boys were on the Bahamas during May working on their new album. Although my opinion is that they were rather taking some time off relaxing themselves, but anyways, if someone is relaxed and without any worries he will do whatever he does better. So if that always works the next album it's going to be amazing. There, besides work in the album, they all went scuba diving. If you wanna see a lot of pics of the Boys on the Bahamas you can take a look HERE. Don't miss them if you like Nick as much as I do :)
Kev's wedding was on 17th June at the Estill County Catedral Domain in Lexington (Kentucky). It was a private ceremony with about 200 guest, all of them were family and friends, and of course the other guys went to. Kev said that he wants to do a more public ceremony in Los Angeles later in this year.
On 25th June Howie hosted
the concert Lupus 2000 Charity,
this concert was done on Caroline's memory (who passed away almost two
years ago cause that disease). There were 15 performances and all they
money recauded went to the Caroline's Foundation, whose purpose is help
all the lupus sufferers and investigate more about this disease.
The concert was at the Universal
Studios Citywalk in Orlando and one of the special performances was AJ's.
Howie sang 'Fly To Heaven' with his sister, Pollyana.
In the past update I told you about Backstreet Boys: The Official Book. Well, it's now on sale, at least in th USA. I ordered at Amazon.com and they let me know it had already been shipped to me, so when I get it I'll tell you about it and I'll put some pics here, ok?
For the first time we have
some
specific dates for the new album. Well,
on 28th August
it's supposed that the first single will be on sale (or at least on the
radio). And the album will be probably released on 10th
October. There aren't even rumors about what
will be the name of it.
In the new album the Boys
will have more colaborations in the lyrics and in the music. And in this
new album they are working again with the great Max Martin, so it's going
to be an awesome album!
Then, about the
Burger King thing. It's confirmed, I don't
know if that promotion will be just in the USA or here in Europe too. But
let's hope yes!
This promotion will start
on 31th August
and will end on 1st October. In each one of this 5 weeks we could get (with
the menu, I suppose) a different toy, which will be no less that the Boys
dressing up as their characters on the Backstreet Proyect. Along with this
will get a cd, which will have the single and some songs recorded live
in the last tour. There are some rumors about a video too, it'll supposely
have some footage from the Into The Millennium Tour.
They Boys are maybe going to Rio de Janeiro for 'The Rock In Rio Festival' it will be between 12th and 21th January 2001. If you want this to happen you will need to vote here: http://www.rockinrio.americaonline.com.b/ The artist who get more votes will perform.
About a month ago or so is up and running the Fans Of The Millennium. This is going to be a book which just us, the fans, will participate. There will be 2000 fans. If you want more information about how to sing up for this book, go to Fansillustrated.com before 31st August.
On 2nd July the Boys came to Europe, to Stocolm (Sweden) to be precise, at I think they are still there. The fans spend hours in front of the 'Polar Studios' and all of them say the Boys are being so nice to them. As you know they are there recording songs for the new album. AJ is supposed to go there this week, he haven't gone before because his grandad has went into sugery.
Las Sunday (9th July) they were in London to take part of the Party In The Park. AJ wasn't at this even neither. The boys sang with Elton John 'California Freedom' and 'Friends Never Say Goodbye'. And when they sang 'I Want It That Way' and 'The One', Elton John introducing by them as EJ :) sang AJ's parts.

I guess all of you have already seen The One video. Personally, I love it! It brings me back a lot of memories from the concerts and see all these footage it's great. The One's single went on sale sometime ago and it's very good. It had these songs: The One, The One (Instrumental), Show Me The Meaning (Soul Solution Mixshow Edit) and Larger Than Life (Jack D. Elliot Radio Mix).
