The Lestathenaeum - About Your Webmistress...

I don't get to talk to my adoring public much [note the sarcasm, I don't really have a 'Stat-sized ego], so I whipped up this little summary of who I am.

NameI'm not telling, but you can call me your majesty
LocationNew York State
EducationB.A. in English Literature with a minor in history. I graduated from Western Connecticut State University in January 2001.
OccupationI'm sort of in between jobs right now, and I've recently recovered from a nightmare experience with an employment agency (stay away from those things). I recently graduated and I'm looking for a job, but not looking very hard. I'm experiencing a serious lack of motivation and misdirection and I really have no idea what to do with my life. If I could support myself by working in Barnes and Noble full time, believe me I would, but that only happens in fantasy land. And I'm not a talented enough webmistress to do this for a living ;-) Oh, and I'm so sick of going on job interviews and people asking me "If you have a degree, why the hell are you here, and why aren't you looking in your own field?" FYI: I went to college for my own benefit, to feed my own mind, and the reason I pursued English Lit was not necessarily because that was my chosen field but because it was my passion. Besides, I just need a job to support myself, so cut it with the fucking questions already.

Topics of Interest
  • Ancient Egypt. I'm a total Egyptomanica and I readily devour anything and everything have to do with Egypt.
  • Personality Theory. Don't ask me why, but I have this dire need to literally know who I am.
  • Vampires. Outside of the VC, I love vampires in general. I always have.
  • Weaponry. I'd have a massive collection of swords and knives if my mother wasn't so paranoid. I'll have to content myself with my coffin-shahped Dracula knife that I got from the Franklin Mint until I get my own apartment.
  • Arthurian Legend. I'm an idealist by nature, and what more ideal place could you pick than Camelot? That sword and sorcery stuff is just cool.
  • Occult/Supernatural Stuff. I'd love to become an expert on the Tarot, but I haven't gotten past just admiring the artwork.
Places I Want to Visit Before I Die
  • Egypt. I want nothing more than to wander around Karnak temple for a few hours and to see that stuff up close. I'd probably cry if I ever did make it there.
  • Rome/Vatican City.
  • England
