Cancer

    After the triumphs of the Leo, Aires and Tragos Oz and Alliance soldiers looked to the only other battlefield on Earth not dominated by moblie suits: The sea. After much hard work, Alliance scientists came up with a blue, crab-like suit called Cancer. It sported a pair of torpedo launchers and missile bays concealed inside two pincers. This was to be the first of three underwater suits.
     As the Alliance was happily celebrating their sucess, Oz scientists were quietly working on their own underwater suit, calling it Pisces. Cancer is designed with suit to suit combat and anti-air and anti-ground fire support. Using its missile launchers Cancer can take out airborne threats such as Aires of aircraft, and can also remove surface targets on naerby shores. Cancer is also quite fast, allowing it to nimbly dodge around obstacles, depth charges and poorly guided torpedos. Just like Pisces, Cancer can reconfigure into a subamrine, allwoing for even faster movement.
    When the Alliance Cancer proved to be too much for a Pisces to handle, Oz went about desigining their own version. An Oz Cancer is much like an Alliance, only painted bright red instead of blue. No problems with arrogance in Oz. The red Cancers are so powerful, a pair of notable Oz pilots, Lieutanants Alex and Mueller took out several Alliance fortresses in Africa with only a Cancer and Aires.The red Cancer is equipped with more sophistaced equipment, engines and weapons, making it more than a match for a Pisces or Alliance Cancer. Even Gundam pilot Duo Maxwell admitted that Cancer's were hard to smash.
        Cancer marks the biggest departure from tipical MS designs, lacking legs and hands. It makes a fine submarine, but in MS mode, pilots usually just call them ugly. Short, squat and stumpy, pilots often felt dimunitave inside the truncated suits despite their overall high comabt abilities. Just like nearly all mobile suits on Earth, the Cancer's were scrapped in favor of Space Leos to combat the White Fang's battalion of Virgo II mobile dolls.
