| Megumi's whole family was of docters therefore she became one as well. Her father died during a war I think, and Megumi was seperated from her mother and 2 brothers. When she became 17, she started working for a Docter who worked for a man who the Docter gave a liquid called Opium. To put it simple, the Docter gave Opium to his manager. The man's name was Takeda Kanryu. The docter was making 'Opium' that was stronger, more efficiant and cheaper than what he gave to Kanryu. When he found out he killed the Docter and made Megumi make the Opium. Megumi always wanted to commit suicide, but she wanted to meet back with her family, so that's what kept her going. One day, she tried to escape and ran into Sanosuke and Kenshin. She asked them to protect her from Kanryu and they accepted. When Kanryu found out that Megumi was hiding out in the Kamiya Dojo, he became furious and went to the Dojo in persuit to kill everyone. In the end Kenshin defeats Kanryu and is able to keep Megumi. Megumi still remained a docter (of course) but when she gets mad, fox ears come out of her head, which earns her the nickname, The Fox Lady. Megumi is in love with Kenshin and is always fighting with Kaoru over him. Everytime she makes a comment about one of the Kenshin-gumi, she makes a laugh which reallys annoys almost all of the Kenshin-gumi. |
