Kevin, Lucy, and The Aftermath

(We open with Kevin and Victor in the lighhthouse talking over the almost wedding)

K: Serena almost dies because of what Lucy did, and on top of that, she's been lying about it since the very beginning so don't look to me to sympathize with your misplaced concern for her.

V: Monk, you logic is unassicible. However, if Lucy had told you the truth surely the damage would have already been done. Lucy was afraid of what you would do and surely her fear is justified.

K: I appreciate what your trying to do , Victor, really, but this isnt a mathimatical equation that I need you to solve.

V: Au Contraire, Mon fils. Two minus one leaves one. Im talking about you, son. You have an oppertunity for an extraordinary marriage you mustn't take that lightly.

K: Menage a la misera. Victor, you own martial record is less than stellar.

(The door opens - It's Lucy)

L: Maybe I shouldnt have come, but this is my home and I didnt know where else to go. I'm not sure what your feeling for me at this moment but I think I might have a small idea.

(Victor rushes out of the room)

V: Excuse me. I...I think I'm missing the weather channel. I'll be in my room. Please dont do anything youll regret later.

(Lucy tries to think of something to say)

L: Mac and Felicia got married. It was a lovely ceremony. They're husband and wife.

K: You stayed?

L: I didnt really see the point of ruining my beat friend's wedding. Besides I really think she needed her maid of honor.

K: Classic Lucy.

L: That was the Lucy that you wanted to love for better or for worse right?

K: I wanted so badly to say those words. What I feel for you is unlike anything Ive ever felt in my life. You lied to me, Lucy.

L: Yes, I did and I'm very sorry that I... I did that. But I would do anything. I know that an apology isnt enough, so just tell me what is. And I'll double it. I'll triple that.

K: There's nothing. There's absolutly nothing you can do, Lucy. You cannot take this back. And you cant fix it. And you cant cover it up with another lie. It's something we both have to live with now.

L: Okay, I can accept that. I know I have to face the fact of what I did, and I'm readyto do that and Im ready to take the responsbility for that.

K: But you wont do it here I want you to move out. L: You dont want me to leave. You don't. Because moving out is not the answer to our problems.

K: It's the only answer I have, Lucy. I can stay at a hotel tonight if you want to start looking for a place tomorrow.

L: No! No, listen to me. This is crazy. No one..nobody is going anywhere. Do you remember when you used to counsil people and help them? You would tell them to stick it out. You stay there and hash it out. That's what you'd say. We're going to do that. That's what we're going to do. We're going to work through this. We can.

K: Lucy, are you in complete denial or just not getting it?

L: I dont like those choices

K: Are you incapable of giving me a straight answer? A is never followed by B. B's followed by whatever letter of the alphabet that happens to suit you at any given time.

L: But's that's me. That's just me. That's al I know how to be. And you love me and you understand me.

K: I do now. Finally I do. Lucy, I begged you... I begged you to stop scheming I begged you to stop trying to one up Eve. And I warned you, Lucy. I warned you not to put Serena in the middle

L: I know and I heard you. I listened to every single word you said.

K: Except for the fact that you completely disregarded every concern that I had, which is nothing new.

L: Listen to me. Doc, I know this probably doesnt matter to you right now, but I siphoned that gas before we had that talk about putting Serena in the middle. It was before and after that discusion, I didnt do anything else. I swear I stopped

K: Lucy, Serena's wreck was an accident. An Accident. It was helped along by mistakes made by you and Eve. But mistakes are forgivable. What i cant understandis how you could look me in the eye and lie aout something this important. I asked you point-blank to be truthful to me, and you lied.

L: Doc what is very important here is that we love each other. We love each other. And if this trust is broken we can fix it. We can. We can get it fixed.

K: Lucy, Lucy, If you think this is fixable, then you dont know what you've done. Let me put it this way. Do you realize you've probably lost Serena forever? That Scott will not let you back in her life ever again?

L: No. Dont say that. Dont even say that. I dont want to lose another child. You know that this date for us to get married was very important to me. It was the anniversary of when we lost our baby. And I wanted this wedding to erase that and replace that. Dont you see? Doc, i really believed that magic would happen and tonight we would make our own baby again.

(After realizing that her plea is falling on deaf ears Lucy gives in:)

L: I'm.... going to go pack.

(We now see Lucy packed about to leave. Victor who is carring a quaking sigmund has now joined Kevin downstairs. I just want to mention in this following scene there are alot of meaningfull eye contact between K&L that cant really be expressed in words.)

L: You've always had my heart, Doc, and that is no lie.

V: What about Sigmund? Can you put aside this grudge you're carrying and think about the duck for a minute?

K: Sigmund will survive.

L: i wish I could say the same.

V: Monty. Monty. Im going to take him outside Im going to take him to the car. And when I get back, I hope the two of you will have come to your senses.

(Victor takes Sigmund outside leaving Kevin and Lucy alone)

K: Where... Where will you be staying?

L: The Port Charles Hotel. If you need to reach me...

K: Let's not make this anymore difficult than it already is.

L: I dont see how it could possibly get any harder.
