Kevin, Lucy and a Romantic Dinner

(We begin our scene at the lighthouse after Eve and Ian's "death". Our hero as just rescued La Luce from a hostage situation at the ER when they enter the romantically decorated Lighthouse) K: Will you look at this place?

L: I'm looking

(Kevin gives her a look as if to say 'you set this up didnt you')

L: Whoa, don't look at me I didn't have anything to do with all of this.

K: You mean your as surprised as I am?

L: Yeah, however I am alot better at snooping than you are

(she picks up a note)

K: What is that?

L: It's a note with your name on it. (hands the note to Kevin who reads it aloud)

K: Dear Dad, I hope you and Lucy enjoy this surprise, Livvie.

L: That is amazing. Do you know how much trouble she went to to set all of this up?

K: I know it was really sweet

L: (nervous) Yeah, and really romantic. I just think it would be terrible for us if we feel ya know ever feel uncomfortable being alone like this together.

K:(compassionatly) You know what Lucy...

L: No, Im serious maybe we better go someplace with less candles and more bright lights.

K: I think we should make the most of the evening just the way it is. Just you and me.

(Well now who could refuse an offer like that? Apparently not Lucy who still remains at the lighthouse with her knight in shining armor...)

K: Why don't you at least try to relax and I'll open the wine.

L: Well, I'm not so sure I can relax at all tonight given what just happened. You know Doc, if you hadn't said what you said to that man the exact right thing then... how did you know exactly the right thing to say?

K: Actually I rarely do. I just knew I couldn't let him hurt you after that it's pretty much instincts.

L:Well, you definitly have some mighty fine instincts.

(Hmm, and I assume there are a number of areas our Doc is mighty fine in too...)

K: Sometimes, why don't you just go ahead and relax and I'm going to take a shower and after that we can do whatever you want. We could have dinner or I could take you home.

L: (smiles) Okay

K: (smiles)I won't be long (exits to upstairs)

L: Okay, I'll be here. (to herself) I would not want to go anywhere else but right here with you. (Goes to sit on the chair but sits on a video instead)Oh! Ow... I wonder what this is. Well, Im going to find out. (Puts the video in the VCR - we see/ hear Kevin/Eve's wedding)

K: (coming down the stairs as Lucy fumbles to turn off the tape) Lucy you might need this to open the wine I took it upstairs... (notices the tape goes into a trance)...I opened a bottle...

L: (jumps up startled as Kevin just glares at the TV) Doc, I didnt know what this was I just sat in the chair and it was in the chair and it didnt have a label or anything (still fumbling to turn off the tape)

K: (out of trance) Lucy, let me do it please (turns off the tape)

L: Doc, I am sorry I wanted to put it back in the right box I would never ever do...

K: I know, I know it's okay you would never do anything to deliberatly hurt me.

L: No

K: but we can't pretend Eve never existed either I loved her. (Naw, that's just what the writers *want* you to think)

L: I know and you still do.

K: I'm not even close to getting past what happened but I can't change it. All i can do is try to get on with my life that's what I want and that's what I need and I need my friends around to help me.

L: I'm right here Doc

K: I'm counting on it. So, I'm going to leave you with the corkscrew and I'm going to take that shower.

L: You take your time and I will attempt to relax.

(Kevin goes upstairs again)

L: (turning on the tape again talking to it) You know I'm glad I did what I did Eve. You never deserved him you know and he never ever deserved you running away with Ian. youu know he's a better man than that and I'm going to do everything in my power, everything, to make sure he has the chance to forget you ever existed.

(Next scene, we see K&L eating while Kevin pours another round of wine)

L: Are you sure your okay?

K: Well I realize it's a bit of a 360 but it just hit me all of a sudden in the shower I just feel like celebrating.

L: Mmm... because we're alive. I feel like celebrating too. Doc, when that poor man was holding that granade on me in the ER I know I was supose to be thinking that any second I could die but that's not what I was thinking about.

K: What were you thinking about?

L: You... and of course Serena and all the people that I love I just kept picturing then standing there smiling their best smiles when they're very happy.

K: Well that's funny because all I could think about was you. I just couldn't let all the love and life you bring to everyone around you just disappear.

L: You know youre just the same. Dispite all you've been through you have so much life to give.

K: All i have to do is reach out and grab it right?

L: Mmm-hmm. Most definitly. Well that's the advice you always give me. I mean you've given it to me on many occasions. Oh Doc, everybody who loves you and has loved you thats what they want for you but in your own time when your absolutly ready.

K: Well I know one thing - it's time to start.

L: What?

K: Life is short, Lucy and I haven't been more sure of that then I am at this very moment so I am not about to waste another second. (Gets up pulling Lucy with him) C'mon

L: What? What? Uh, Okay where?

K: Oh, I don't know how about bungee jumping?

L: Bungee... No?! Doc!

K: Alright, we'll just stay here and finish our dinner and we'll just be together. After all the things that we could be doing in this life right now at this very moment well just we'll just be together.

L: (smiling) Are you sure you know you haven't seen enough of me today?

K: (sincere) You already know the answer to that question Lucy.

(he begins to move in)

L: Doc...?
