Jon Lindstrom Acceptance Speech
First off this K&L Schmuck is thrilled that the scene Jon was nominated for was a K&L scene - Maybe that means that TPTB actually realized that some of Jon's best acting is with Lynn Herring ;-) Here's a transcript of the scene they showed.....
[Kevin & Lucy at the lighthouse finally talking about Lucy's night with Scott]
Kevin: ... you walked away from her on your wedding day - so she gets to sleep with whomever she wants to... but deep down - I felt that you were mine. That no other man should be with you but me - so what the hell was Scott Baldwin doing taking my place in your bed and your heart?!
[Now after Jon is annouced winner the PC and GH casts both stand which I thought was really nice to see Jon kisses his wife then blows kisses to everyone]
JL: Thanks! [fans are hooting, clapping] I love you guys, too! I have a feeling I'm not very good with this - the last time I was nominated for anything was - yes - when I was nominated for best supporting actor in my high school drama class! It's been a while. Robert Newman Scott Holmes I have a feeling you probably deserve this a lot more than I do - I don't know where you guys are, but I think you're great! Wow! It's better to *be* there when something good happens - you know in high school drama I didn't even hear my name because I was out in the parking lot with all the other delinquents - [shrug] it's better to be here [smile] everybody to thank - everybody at ABC: Pat, Angela, Barbara - Wendy Riche - thanks for giving me this job - I love this job! Julie Carruthers - you're doing a great job - I don't care what they told you Our new producer over there- thanks for keepin' me on - You're only as good as the people you work with: Julie Pinson, Lynn Herring, Nicholas Pryor, and the blonde guy - the blonde guy on our shoe - the character rhymes with potty... Scotty! Kin Shriner - that's him!! Eileen - my wife - I love you - my wife is *such* a babe! [laughter] Barry Solomen, David Shapiro Everybody at DSA - and a - you know - everybody that voted for me - and everybody that didn't! Thank you!
*sigh* It's official I LOVE the man Of course I have since Jon came on GH in 1992 has Ryan Chamberlain! This award was undoubtly overdue! Congrats Jon You derserve it, baby!!
