Chapter 4 Lucy was becoming very impatient, and for Lucy Coe that did not take very long. She decided that there was too much silence in the room. She knew that someone was around there somewhere. So she began to scream.
"I know your out there and I know you can hear me so I'm just going to let you know right now that who ever you are you aren't going to get away with this. Do you know who your dealing with here? I am Lucy Coe and there are probably swarms of people looking for me right now and they're probably hot on your tail right now. You cant keep me in here forever and you cant hide
from me forever so why don't you show your face you low life coward."
Rex watched this whole show on the T.V in his office due to the
cameras he had placed in her room to watch everything that she did: everything. He had to be careful that Angela did not walk in on his "observing sessions" as he called them. She was very much the jealous type and she would flip if she found out that she was merely playing a part in his long-term scheme to take over Lucy's entire life. He had told her that he only wanted to torture Lucy but in reality he wanted to make Lucy his, as far as he was concerned she already was his and these were just the steps that he had to take to ensure that she would remain his forever, no matter what it took.
Angela walked into the office and Rex quickly snapped the power
button on his remote control before she got the chance to see what was on the screen.
"Rex," she said "What are you up to all the time in here? You
stay in this gloomy, dark office all day and I'm starting to get worried about you. Plus I am verylonely out there all by myself."
"Angela thank you for your concern, but there is no reason to
whine. Just let me finish one matter of business and I will be all yours. Ok?"
"Oh alright but don't be too long." She said in a teasing tone. She bent down next to him and planted a hard kiss against his lips.
She walked out of the office and shut the door. Rex cringed at the thought of spending time with that woman when he would really rather be spending time with the woman he was watching on his television. Soon, he thought, as he turned to the T.V., Angela will no longer be of any use to me, I can get rid ofher and we can be together.
Eve was still fuming when she walked through the door of the
lighthouse that she and her husband called home. She had decided that this was enough. She was going to find the truth. She walked up the stairs, into his home office and over to his desk. Opening the bottom drawer and looking under some papers she knew she had just found what she was looking for. There were numerous pictures of Lucy and evin and just as many of just her. He ven
had pictures of their wedding that Eve had stopped by informing Kevin that ucy had been lying to him about her involvement in her surrogate daughter Serena's accident which temporarily blinded her. Kevin had stopped the wedding and left Lucy never turning back: or so she thought. But these pictures proved otherwise. Them something caughther eye. It was a letter
from Kevin to Lucy that was never sent. She began to read it as tears of anger ran down her face.
My Dearest Lucy,
I cannot tall you how much I have missed you and how much I miss
us.
I want nothing more than for all of our mistakes from the past to be erased so we can go back to the way it was.
I know that you had moved on with your life with Scott, but you aren't together anymore.
I also know that I am with Eve but if it means that we can be together again I will leave her.
I know this must be a shock but I know you feel the same way I do.
I can feel it when you look at me and I know you feel it when I look at you.
I am counting the days until we can be together again.

She looked at the date on the envelope, and it was dated three
weeks ago. Eve put everything but the letter back where she had found them. Then, crying, she went into their bedroom and took out her suitcase. Two hours later she had packed all of her belongings into her Blazer and she drove away promising that Lucy would pay for what she had done to her marriage. She pulled out of the driveway and headed for the PCPD.
Kevin, Mac and Victor had finally found a lead. Among other things Angela owned a house in a town not far from Port Charles. This would be the perfect place to keep Lucy because they could drive there and considering the kind of town it was in there probably miles away from any neighbors. Not only
that but it had seemed that this particular piece of property was purchased exactly one month after Angela's visits to Rex began, and to top it all off Angela had an addition put on the back of the house with all kinds of special things like sound-proof walls.
This was the first good thing that any of the men had heard all
day. Kevin was so excited that he was going to see Lucy and he was sure that she was safe. They had always had that kind of connection when one knows that the other is in trouble but he wasn't getting that vibe, so he knew she was safe: for now.
"Well, when can we leave for that house?" Kevin asked impatiently.
"We have ton wait for backup clearance, we cant just bust in there alone. God knows what Rex is capable of right now. Look at what he has already done." Mac replied.
Mac picked up his phone and gave both man in the room the thumbs
up.
"We just got our clearance, and Gentlemen we are ready to hit the road and go find Lucy."
No body knew that Eve had arrived at the station and had been
listening to the whole exchange. She was not going to let Kevin go and save Lucy again. Kevin walked out of the office and saw her standing there. She smiled at him as if saying she was sorry for earlier and he smiled back letting her know that she was forgiven. She began to walk toward him when she put her hand on her head,passed out, and fell to the floor.
Chapter 5
"Oh my God." Kevin cried. "Someone call an ambulance now!"
"What happened?" Victor and Mac said simultaneously.
"I don't know." Kevin replied. "She was standing here one
minute and thenext she was on the floor."
Mac turned to Victor and them to Kevin and said, "Hey bud, we
really have to go and get Lucy now. We can handle it, you stay with Eve."
"I know Eve needs me. Kevin replied. "But I would really
rather be helping you find Lucy. But go ahead and call me with any news."
Victor and Mac left on their crusade to find Lucy , and Eve
struggled to hold her tears while she put on her show. She could not believe what she had just heard. Her husband would rather be saving Lucy than saving her.
Eve fluttered her eyes and started to lift her head trying her
best to look disoriented.
"Oh Kevin what happened?"
"You passed out. Are you feeling ok? I mean were you feeling ok
before? I mean did you feel bad for a while or was it all of a sudden."
"I don't know, I guess I was ok. It just sort of came out of
nowhere.She said straining for tears to come to her.
