Real Life Lovers
Thanks So Much To Holly for Article!
Lynn and Wayne
Digest: How did you and Wayne meet?
Lynn: We met in acting class.
Digest: Was it love at first sight?
Lynn: For me it was, after I saw him do his first
scene. He thought my jeans were too tight, and
proceeded with caution.
Digest: Where did you go on your first date?
Lynn: Roller skating on the Venice Beach [CA]
boardwalk.
Digest: What are the advantages and disadvantages when
both spouses are actors?
Lynn: On the plus side, strange, *erratic* hours and
behavior need no explanation. On the minus,
scheduling can be tricky, and young children aren't
exactly sure *what* Mom and Dad do for a living.
Digest: Does Wayne watch your love scenes?
Lynn: No! He doesn't watch the show at all.
Digest: What were the best and worst parts of working
together on DAYS, where you played Lisanne?
Lynn: Carpooling with Wayne was the best. The worst?
Missing the character of Lucy and the GH crew.
Digest: What do you admire most about Wayne?
Lynn: His sense of humor.
Digest: How did having kids affect your relationship?
Lynn: We became a *family* instead of a couple. By
trying to be good parents, we've become better people,
so our relationship is even more special.
Eileen and Jon
Digest: How did you meet?
Eileen: A girlfriend of mine knew Jon and tried to
introduce us for a year. At that time, I wasn't
interested in meeting anybody. Literally after a
year, I said okay. Jon called me, and we met for
lunch. He picked me up at the studio.
Digest: Did you like him?
Eileen: I told my girlfriend, "I can tell there's an
attraction here, but I really don't think it's going
to go anywhere."
Digest: So what happened?
Eileen: We went out for maybe a month, and then I
stopped seeing him because I didn't think it was going
anywhere. We didn't see each other for four months
after that. We got back together at my Para Los Ninos
benefit. He agreed to go when we first started
dating, and I was so impressed that he honored the
commitment, even though we weren't seeing each other.
Digest: Did you have any reservations about dating an
actor?
Eileen: Yeah, I did. But I think that I'm a
down-to-earth gal, and I have to say that Jon is very
real and giving and not a cliche actor. After we got
back together, Jon had a lot of reservations, because
I had basically broken up with him. After a couple of
weeks of being together, we went away to Mexico and we
haven't been apart since.
Digest: How did he propose?
Eileen: Well, we were kind of fighting when we decided
to get married, so it wasn't your regular kind of
proposal. It ended up as one of those stupid fights
like, "I want to marry you!" "Well I want to marry
you, too!" "Oh, so we're engaged?" Literally, that's
how we got engaged. It was very weird, but completely
right.
Digest: What are your marriage plans?
Eileen: We're getting married in May at the beach in
Malibu. It's a 50/50 wedding. We're both planning
it--and I love that--rather than the traditional thing
where the bride olans everything. It feels more like
a partnership, so it's fun.
