Chapter 12
Lynne and Lucy are still in Lynne's office. Lynne is about to confess something to Lucy. Something that Lucy M_U_S_T keep to herself.
LYNNE: Lucy? Can I tell you something confidential? Once I tell you cannot, I mean cannot tell another soul as long as you live. Can you do that?
LUCY: Yeah, but when I go into labor I might accidentally blurt something out. But I will say I made it up. I am good at covering up lies. You can trust me. What is it?
LYNNE: It's about Ryan. When he and I first started to go out, he was this sweet, kind, caring guy. But one time when we were on a date, he beat me. He told me that I was worthless. I tried to get away from him but could not. I avoided him after that. I had to prove to myself that I was strong enough to take this and I was. Then two years later when I was 18 and Ryan was 22 we dated again. Three months later we married. But now something is wrong with him. He has been lying to me about something. I need your help in finding out what it is.
LUCY: What do you want me to do?
LYNNE: I want you to keep an eye on an intern named Tamera Malone. She and my husband are having an affair and they are up to something else. But since I am having a delicate pregnancy I cannot do any investigating. Would you?
LUCY: Absolutely!
WOMAN: Deception? May I help you?
SCOTTY: Yeah is Lucy Coe in please?
WOMAN: No she is at the hospital right now. Is there a message?
SCOTTY: Yeah could you tell her to call Scott Baldwin at his apartment. She has the number. Thank you.
Chapter 13
''Destiny, were there any calls while I was gone to the hospital?'' Lucy asked.''I was expecting a call from Scott Baldwin.''
''He called about 2 hours ago. He said to call him at his apartment. He said you had the number.'' Destiny said.''I wrote it down anyway. Just so you would not have to go searching for it.''
''Thank you. But if you did that so I would not have to bend down to get the file, because I am 4 months pregnant. Let me assure you that I can still do things like that eventhough I am pregnant.'' Lucy snapped.

''That was not my intention at all. I just thought I would write it down so you would not have to look for it on your desk.'' a hurt Destiny admitted.''I will never do that again, Ms. Coe. Sorry for the trouble.''
''Oh Des. I did not mean to come off acting angery. I am just having those good old fashioned mood swings. I just could not control that one. I did not mean what I said. I know you did not imply that I was incapable of bending because I am pregnant.'' Lucy said with a smile and a wink.
''Hey Kev! You wanna go to the cafeteria and get a snack with your lovely sister in law?'' Lynne asked sweetly.''I could use someone to talk to.''
''Yeah just let me know when my lovely sister in law gets here.'' Kevin said getting a playful slap on the arm from a very pregnant Lynne. ''I was kidding! I would love to go have a snack with you!''
''Good answer!'' Lynne said holding her abdomen as her baby kicked her.''I wish I could figure out what is wrong with Ryan. He was around me alot more before he knew I was pregnant. I dont think he likes or loves me any more.''
''What makes you think that Lynne?'' Kevin asked.
''Well..the first thing is that after he found out about this little baby, I caught him sleeping with Dr. Tammy Malone. Second he has not been home since then. I am worried about him, Kev. I love him but now I don't know if I want to remain his wife.'' Lynne said and winced as her baby kicked even harder than before.
''Well, tell me this. What attracted you to Ryan when you fell in love with him?''
''Well, I thought he was sweet and compassionate. I loved him from the moment I met him four years ago. Even when he abused me, I loved him. I was 17 and eager for attention from anyone I could. Ryan fullfilled that need of love and attention for me.'' Lynne said, sipping her diet soda and nibbling on some crackers.''Was I wrong? I should have left when he did and never looked back.''
''Lynne you can stay at the Lighthouse with me until you figure out what to do about Ryan and Tammy. I would love to have you around more.'' Kevin said.
''I would love to. Here that baby we are going to stay with your Uncle Kevin. Thank you so much Kevin I owe you so much.'' Lynne said.
Chapter 14
Lynne was sitting in the guest room at the lighthouse and was trying to put the fears she had about her marriage to Ryan behind her. She had to. She could not dwell on the negative.
''Why did I ever marry him? Everyone warned me about him. They said that I would be hurt and that it was a mistake. But did I listen to them? No! I was stupid enough to think that he actually loved me and that he would never do this to me.'' Lynne said sadly.
She got up and went to look out the window and watched the waves going in and out.''Ryan where did we go wrong? We were so happy and then all of a sudden, you cheat on me. Was it something I did? Is it the baby? I really wish I knew what it was.''
It was only three years ago when she and Ryan got engaged. She was 17 and he was 22.
They met at a charity function at Lynne's school.
She fell for him right there. She asked around but no one knew who he was. She was going to find out!
~~FLASHBACK TO MAY 21, 1990~~
She was in her bedroom getting ready for her date with Ryan when she heard their song playing right outside her window. She smiled to herself as she hummed the melody.
Things were getting serious between 17 year old Bethany-Lynne Lawrence and Ryan Joel Chamberlain.
Was she ready?
No.
But she did not care.
As soon as she got outside Ryan got down on one knee and asked her sweetly...
''Bethany-Lynne Lawrence, I loved you forever. Picturing my life without you is not something I want to do. Please marry me?'' Ryan said.
''YES!'' Lynne screamed. She wanted this and she had it.

Chapter 15
**BTW...Lucy is in her 9th month of pregnancy. Just to keep the story going.**
Lucy was on her way to Scott's apartment when she ran into Tammy Malone.
Tammy was a beautiful young woman who in her 23 years lived through a lot. She was stubborn and she was in love.
''Oh, I am sorry I did not see you there.'' Tammy said.
''That is okay, I was not paying attention either.'' a very pregnant Lucy said.''My name is Lucy. What is yours?''
''Dr. Tamera Malone. Most people call me Tammy. I am an intern at GH.'' Tammy said.
All of a sudden Lucy had this pain in her stomach and said...''Speaking of GH could you possibly take me there because I am in labor and need to get there as soon as I can.''
''How far apart are the contractions?''
''One every 10 minutes.'' Lucy said through gritted teeth.''Just get me to the hospital!!''
Twenty Minutes later.....
''Scotty! This is it! Dominique's baby is about to be born. Where is Kevin? I want him here with me.'' Lucy cried in alarm.
''I am right here Luce. Just breathe. You are about ready to deliver this special little child.'' Kevin said.
''Dr. Neumann...is it time to push yet?'' Lucy asked thouroughly exhausted.
''Yeah start to push on the next contraction..'' Neuman said.
Ten minutes later Lucy gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
Scott let her pick the name because she was the one that went through the most pain.
She picked Serena Lee Baldwin as the name of the child who had three parents.
"So Pal, do you think that Dominique would have liked that name? I named your daughter after her childhood home of Serenity. If it is too painful to have her named after Dom's home we can name her something else..." Lucy said in one breath.
"Pal I think it is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful woman that I am--er--was married to and loved deeply. Thank you for making Dom's last wish come true." Scotty said.
