Lucy is sleeping on Kevin's couch. She really does not have anywhere else she wants to go. Kevin watches her sleep and wishes he could help her, more than he can, while she is pregnant. <BR><BR> LUCY (screaming): NO! DOMINIQUE NO! YOU CANNOT GO! DOC DO SOMETHING! PLEASE!!! <BR><BR> KEVIN: Lucy, Lucy. Wake up! You were having a horrible dream. I am sorry but Dom is gone. I am so sorry. I love you, you know that right? <BR><BR> LUCY: Yeah. I am so glad you are here. I know I should be glad that she is out of pain but it does not make it feel better. <BR><BR> KEVIN: Boy. Don't I know it! But given time it will go away. The ache will lessen. I promise. <BR><BR> <hr> <BR><BR> Scotty is in the chapel getting things ready for Dominique's memorial service. This was the hardest thing that they could ask a man to do. He was about to say goodbye to his friend, his lover, his love, his wife, not to mention the mother of the child that was growing inside of Lucy. Boy did he love her. Me and Dominique did not start out as friends. I was extreamely jealous of her. When she was named the FACE OF DECEPTION and not me, I split town and went to New York City. Scotty was crushed. I was hurt and could not be around Scotty or Dominique right then. When I came back 11 months later, they had fallen in love. Dominique and I became friends. I loved her like a sister. I know she loved me too. When I would do something that was not "normal" others would think that I was odd. Or when I would make a mistake, people thought that I was stupid. But not Dominique. She NEVER judged me or insulted me. She loved Lucy Coe the person, not the persona that I put on to impress people. Dom, I love you and so does your baby. Ta! <BR><BR> SCOTTY: Dominique was an angel here on earth. She was never judgemental toward any man, woman or child. She and Lucy became fast friends. Dom was my friend, my lover, my love, my wife. She took risks. Her marrying me was testament to that fact. She left me with the greatest gift of all...a child. She talked Lucy into carrying the child. Dom's presence is in this room. I can feel it. Dominique Margot Taub-Baldwin, I love you honey and I always will. <BR><BR> KEVIN: Dom came to me when she first suspected that she was dying. She did not want to tell Luce or Scotty to save them from any unnecessary pain. When Luce and I met, Dom told me to follow my heart and tell Luce how I felt. I did and now we are together. Even when faced with an illness and death, Dom always thought of her husband and best friend first. <BR><BR> After everything was over and all had left. She knew that Lucy was pregnant with Scotty's baby. She had heard that it was his and his wife's child that Lucy was pregnant with. Tammy did not like this at all. <BR><BR> Just then her friend and fellow intern Sara Laninski entered the room. <BR><BR> SARA: Hey girl! I know you are dying to tell someone a juicy piece of gossip. I am ready, willing and able to listen. SPILL IT!! <BR><BR> TAMMY: Did you hear that Lucy is carrying another couples baby AND is dating Dr. Collins at the same time? How tacky can you get? <BR><BR> SARA: Get out of here! I knew she was seeing Dr. Collins but I did not know she was pregnant. How did you find out, pray tell? <BR><BR> TAMMY: I found out about two months ago. I happened to have been at Mario's and happened to have walked by Dr. Collins having a cozy dinner with Ms. Coe! I overheard Dr. Collins say that he was falling in love with her! Talk about your bad timing and taste in women! <BR><BR> SARA: Tam. I am sure you can put your jealousy on hold and let SOMEONE in this town be happy. You broke Colton Shore and me up because you thought you liked him. I have to tell Ms. Coe you are planning something and she should watch her back around you. <BR><BR> With that Sara walked out of the room. When she had gone Tammy said... <BR><BR> TAMMY: Girlfriend you have NO idea what I have planned for our precious Ms. Coe. <BR><BR> <hr> <BR><BR> 4TH FLOOR WAITING AREA <BR><BR> 9:00 am <BR><BR> Lucy was humming to herself as she read the latest issue of GLAMOUROUS, one of her favorite fashion magazines. She was in seventh heaven. She had just come from her OBGYN and everything was going smoothly. She was so happy she did not notice Sara sitting next to her. <BR><BR> SARA: So, what is hot this season? <BR><BR> LUCY: I am sorry? What? Oh they say that casual is the trend for this season. I just hope that casual works with maternity clothes. <BR><BR> SARA: Hi! I forgot to introduce myself. I am Dr. Sara Laninski. I am an intern here. I am specializing in the pediatrics feild. You look familiar. Do I know you? <BR><BR> LUCY: I am Lucy Coe. I am head of a company called DECEPTION. I am also 3 1/2 months pregnant. I am acting as a surrogate mother for some friends of mine. <BR><BR> SARA: I could never do that! Act as a surrogate mother I mean. I just came by to tell you to watch out for Dr. Tammy Malone. She is planning something and she could strike at any minute. I don't want to see you get hurt. <BR><BR> LUCY: Thanks for telling me. I will be careful. Nice meeting you. Ta! <BR><BR> SARA: Bye. <BR><BR> <hr> <BR><BR> ON-CALL ROOM <BR><BR> 12:46 pm <BR><BR> Tammy is alone in the on call room and is talking to Ryan over the phone. <BR><BR> TAMMY: I have a bad feeling about Sara. She might blow our whole plan. <BR><BR> RYAN: Does she know that you and I are working together? Does she suspect it? <BR><BR> TAMMY: I think so. because when I stupidly mentioned that Lucy is going out with your brother I made up this story that I ran into them at Mario's. I don't think she bought it. <BR><BR> RYAN: Do you have a back up plan in case she asks you about Marios? By the way are we still on for our date tonight? <BR><BR> TAMMY: Yes on both counts. See you soon. <BR><BR> <FONT SIZE="6"><center><b>Chapter 8</b></center> <BR><BR><FONT SIZE="3"> Bethany-Lynne was sitting in a booth at Kelley's waiting for her husband to show up. They had agreed to meet at Kelley's on her way into work and on his way home from work. (Ryan works nights Mondays and Wednesdays.) Bethany-Lynne was so excited because she had just learned that she was pregnant with Ryan's child. She planned to tell him over coffee and a bagel. Just then.... <BR><BR> RYAN: Hello. Lynne. How is my favorite girl this morning? Anything exciting happen last night? <BR><BR> B-LYNNE: Hey to you too! Your favorite girl is on cloud nine. Funny you should mention anything exciting in my life. I found out something about an hour ago that will change our lives forever! <BR><BR> RYAN: What is it Luv? <BR><BR> B-LYNNE: I am three months pregnant with our baby! I cannot believe my luck the past few months. I mean I am 21 and am a child psychiatrist and married to the best guy in the world and I am going to have his baby!!! I want to scream I am so happy! <BR><BR> RYAN: (nuzzling Lynne's neck) You are so incredable! I love you so much you know that right? <BR><BR> B-LYNNE: Yeah I sorta figured that out when you married me! But you could always take me back to the house and show me just how much you love me. Are you up to the challenge? <BR><BR> RYAN: Let's go! <BR><BR> <hr> <BR><BR> LUCY: Hey Doc! You won't believe what happened to me today! I met this sweet intern named Sara Laninski. She warned me about this other intern named Tammy Malone. She claims that Tammy has something planned for me and the baby. It was the strangest feeling but when I heard Tammy's name I felt Ryan's presence. <BR><BR> KEVIN: That is strange because Ryan is married to a fellow psychiatrist here at GH. Her name is Bethany-Lynne Chamberlain. She is a child psychiatrist. <BR><BR> LUCY: Is she on duty today? I would like to talk to her. <BR><BR> KEVIN: She comes on at 8:00 and stays till 5:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is after 8:00 so I will give her office a call. <BR><BR> LUCY: Thanks. (thinking:) I have to figure out why I felt Ryan's presence earlier! <BR><BR> <hr> <BR><BR> TAMMY'S PENTHOUSE SUITE <BR><BR> Tammy was getting annoyed. Ryan had PROMISED to be there the previous night but never showed up. NO ONE does that to Tamera (Tammy) Louise Malone. She called up Ryan...555-0876. <BR><BR> B-LYNNE: Hello? Who is this? <BR><BR> TAMMY: Yeah hi look this is Dr. Malone from GH. I was needing to get in touch with Dr. Chamberlain is he there? <BR><BR> B-LYNNE: Hold on. <BR><BR> RYAN: Hello this is Dr. Chamberlain. <BR><BR> TAMMY: It's me! How DARE you skip out on me last night! What is your excuse this time!?!? On second thought never mind.
