Tragedies

1980.

19 year old Lucy Coe placed her 2 year old, Dani Rose, in the carseat. She buckeled her up and left. ''So Dani How was the Zoo?'' Lucy asked.

''It was fun, mommy I saw a smeelefant and a big kitty!'' Dani said. Suddlenly a car came speeding from the oppisite direction, Lucy tried to avoid the car but it was to late. The car came smashing into them. Lucy faded out of conciousness.



When Lucy woke up she saw two nurses standing there. ''Dani, Where's Dani?'' Lucy asked frantically.

Nurse Beth-Anne Lawerance sighed this was the hardest part. ''I''m sorry Miss. Coe, She didn't make it.'' Lucy stared at her and then screamed as her world, her foundations crashed down dead. ''NO! NOT DANI! NOT MY BABY! NO! IT''S NOT TRUE!!!!'' Lucy sobbed and heardly felt the neddle from the sedative go into her skin.

Spend all your time waiting for a second chance, a break that will make it okay, there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day. I need some distraction oh beautiful release, never a reciept for my pains~ You see images of dani (If you actually want them let me know and I will get them to you.)~ Let me be empty and weightless and maybe I will find some peace tonight.....

Chapter 2


Lucy watched numb as they lowered her baby into the cold dark ground. ''She's scared of the dark. Dani doesn't like the dark.'' The other driver 20 year old Eve Lambert was in jail. (Yes I'm making Eve older than Luce.)The service was over, Lucy stayed and traced the words ''Danielle Rose Coe, 1978-1980, 'Suffer not little children..'' ''Dani'' Lucy said as she sobbed, ''Dani'' Lucy arranged an arangement of red and pink roses and a Dani's teddy, Maddy bear on the tiny grave. Lucy left. Her Aunt Charlene and Cousins, Decker and Colton were waiting for her at home. She hugged them all tightly and broke down in her aunt's arms. Charlene held Lucy untill her sobs subsided. ''I'm leaving town.'' Lucy said, ''I can't stay here and see the places where I went with her. The hospital she was born in, her daycare center, the beach, the park. I just can't.'' Lucy said. ''Where will you go? Decker asked. ''Port Charles, New York , Lucy said. Lucy hugged her cousins and Aunt and got into her car. She went to the cematry. ''Hi Dani, It's your mom. I miss you so much. I'm leaving town and it's not that i'm forgetting you I just can't stay here. I love you Dani, even if i have a dozen more kids none of them will ever take your place, You were my Rose.'' Lucy kissed the tombstone and whispered, ''I love you baby.'' She got in her car and drove to Port charles.



1998
"a dani and I got upset and wouldn't tell you why?'' Scott nodded and Lucy countinued ''Here's why.'' Lucy told him about Scott said, ''Lucy do you know Eve Lambert?''

Lucy replied, ''Yes why?'' Lucy was turning pale.

''I am going on a date with her.'' Scott replied.

''Please Scott tell me you aren't going out with that child killer!'' She said starting to panic. Kevina nd Victor who had been watching Tv, turned at stared at them Intrestedly. ''What do you mean child killer?'' Scott asked. '' Remember that time when Colty metioned Dani and How Eve killed her and by the time she finished everyone in the room was crying. Then Scotty ran towards the door ''I have to go I left Rena with Eve!'' Scott left and Lucy wraped her arms around Kevin and sobbed!



Scott inwardly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Rena playing. ''Hi daddy'' She said.

''Hi apple sauce.'' He said hugging her. ''Can You go upstairs I need to talk to Eve.''

''Okay.'' Rena said going upstairs. ''We're over Eve.'' Scott said sadly.

''Why?'' Eve asked.

''Because you forget to mention that you killed Lucy's daughter.'' At Eves blank stare he added, ''Danielle Rose Coe, the toddler that you killed while drunk! If you think I will let an irresponsible child killer near Serena You've got another thing coming now get out!'' Scott said. Eve did what Scott asked.

Chapter 3


Eve's point of veiw.

I lay on my bed crying, not because I love Scotty but because I'd lost my chance to get revenge on Lucy and get Scotty's money. I rember that evening on May 20, 1980 like it was yesterday.

~1980~

Eve walked semi drunk to her car, She'd been partying for last day and a half and she intended to countinue partying. She stepped into the car and started driving. She started giggiling as her car swerved out of controll. Her car swerved into the other lane and a little white car tried to avoid her but it was to late. She smashed into the car head on.

~1998~

I Was charged with one count vehicular manslaughter and sentanced to ten years in prison, I served my time and then I went to Med school. Now you may wonder why do I hate Lucy Coe? While I was in prison, My sister Shelly comited suicide, she couldn't handle what I'd done. while I was in prison Lucy was making the kind of life that should have been mine the men of Port Charles belong to me, not Lucy.



Lucy Coe's point of veiw

I sobbed in my Doc's arm's. I was remembering Dani, she was concieved in the back seat of achevy convertable. Her Father Kile Malenceia was my first Love later that year before I knew I was pregnant, he was murdered because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I gave birth To Dani,a healthy baby girl of 6 pounds, on May 20, 1978. She had these beautiful eyes that were a brownish hazel color. she would stare at you like she knew what you were thinking. She had dark brown hair and a mischevious smile,. She was also extremly stubborn sometimes it took me forever to convince her to go to sleep. Sometimes it was difficult with me being responsible for such a little thing and sometimes I was tempted to just give her to my aunt and run, just like my mother had with me, but then she'd curl up against me, give me a big hug and say, ''I love you momma.'' then she died on that day ironically on her 2nd birthday, If someone hadn't called in sick at work I would have stayed home with Dani instead. Funny how life works isn't it. I finished crying andI felt Kevin's arms still around me, and Victor patting my back. I thought sleepily, ''I'm so lucky I have them.'' Before I slipped into a deep sleep.

chapter 4 ~sleepless night~


Lucy sighed as she woke up in her and kevin's bed. Kevin was still asleep, so Lucy slipped out of bed carefull not wake him. She walked quietly down the hall and into the kitchen. She made herself a hot cup of herbal tea hoping it would calm her frazzeled nerves. She had been feeling so yucky lately and she had a doctor's appointment tomorrow. ''I hope nothings wrong with me.'' Lucy thought.



Scott Baldwin tossed and turned there was something about Eve that was bothering him. What was it? He wondered. Scott thought and then it hit him, When he was at Eve's the other night she got a message from a Danirose on her email. Could it be that Lucy's baby didn't die? Could Eve have stolen Lucy's baby? Why and who was this Dani Rose? Scott didn't know but he realized he'd have to find out. He owed it to Luc, and beside's it was interesting. Scott went to his computer and logged on as Eve. He looked in the past messages file and found what he was looking for, a short little email:

Aunt Eve, Hi how are you? I can't believe I am 20 years old! Can You please Tell me about my mom? Why couldn't she raise me did i make her mad?

Scott gasped as he read this. Could this be Lucy's Dani? Suddenly he felt the butt of a gun being pressed against his neck. ''Be really quiet scott, I'd hate to have to hurt you.'' Eve said.
