Kevin & Lucy Meet After he Visits Ryan
Kevin & Lucy join the Spencer's for an intimate dinner party as a personal "thanks" to Lucy for helping Luke.
We open with a kiss...
L: "It is you."
K: "How do you know?"
L: "Because a woman knows her lover's kiss."
K: "Lover? Oh, I like the sound of that."
L: "Wait, you're trying to distract me. Did you see Ryan?"
K: "Oh, yes."
L: "Oh, yes?"
K: "Oh, yes."
L: "Oh, yes? And don't tell me he got you all weirded out again and is going to disrupt all my hard work."
K: "I'm fine. Ryan, on the other hand, is another matter. You know, I wasn't even angry with him. I was sad. Did you ever know Ryan?"
L: "No, no, no. I mean not really. Everyone sort of knew of him, but our paths never crossed. Thank, God."
K: "He's brilliant. He could have contributed so much. You know, when I first came here, I was almost desperate to find him unaccountable. I wanted so badly for the way that he had turned out to be my mother's fault or my father's, if it were necessary. Because if we were alike, like I believed at the time we were, it would mean it was genetic and therefore out of our control. And that way, I would have my absolution and also his. That's why he was able to dupe me so thoroughly... I wanted him to."
L: "And now?"
K "Now I see it's just a matter of choices. Rather than hurt Grace, I chose to walk away. Ryan chose to kill. That's a fundamental difference between us. Makes us polar opposites, actually."
L: "Kevin, tell me something. Do you still have feelings for him?"
K: "The brother I once loved ceased to exist the day he first committed a murder."
L: "I am so relieved to hear that. I was just afraid that you were going to be sucked back down into some horrible, dark place where I could never get you out again."
K: "I'm right here, Lucy."
(Lucy, being no fool, rains kisses all over Kevin's face. He looked more than a little stunned and amused and happy...)
L: "OK, tell me something, does this mean that you are now ready to embrace, to relish to take in everything positive that life has to offer, including me?
K: "I'm all yours."
(Kiss)
L: "OK, let's do something big to celebrate. Let's go out, let's dance. The Outback, the Grille, somewhere?"
K: "I have a better idea. How about a quiet dinner at the lighthouse, just the two of us? Because I was thinking, after dinner we could (whispering in Lucy's ear) and then we... (whisper)
L: "Why Dr. Collins, I'm very shocked at you. Why in the world would you want to wait until after dinner?"
(Lucy, again being no fool, locks the door, then runs into Kevin's open arms! Are we taking bets on the couch finally being baptized? ;-)

At Deception, Laura pays a visit and asks Lucy and Kevin to dinner.
Lucy: "That is so sweet of you, but I really think you should reconsider."
Laura: "Why?"
Lucy: "Because... I would never win, let's just say, a popularity contest in this town."
Laura: "Neither would my husband."
Lucy: "I'm worse. I don't want you to become persona non grata because you're being nice to me."
Of Course Laura is persistant and finally Lucy accepts the invitation....

Back at Kevin's office, Lucy bursts in...
L: "There has been a change of plans, we are going out to dinner."
K: "I can adapt and improvise. Where are we going?
L: "We are going to the Spencers."
K: "The Luke Spencers?"
(The look on Kevin's face was priceless!)
L: "Yep, isn't is great?"
K: "No, it's not great. Lucy, I don't even like Luke Spencer."
(Kevin's jealousy is evident... it's kind of endearing...)
L: "You don't even know Luke Spencer."
K: "Which is the way I'd like to keep it."
L: "Well, what about Laura? You like Laura."
K: "Don't know her either."
L: "Oh, how am I going to make you understand how much I want to do this? Because the point is, they are like practically synonymous with Port Charles and if you're invited to their house for dinner, it really is like an honor."
K: "Not to me."
L: "Kevin, really, this just would mean so much to me."
K: "Lucy..."
L: "Look, I never get invited anywhere. Nobody ever invites me unless they're strong-armed or forced to do it. And it really would mean a lot to me. Please?"
(Lucy is giving Kevin such an imploring look...)
K: "Oh, don't make the eyes at me, please."
L: "Please. I tell you what, you come up with a signal and if you're absolutely having a horrible time and hating it, we'll get out of there, I promise. Please?"
K: "Oh... all right."
L: "Great. I promise you, it will be a fascinating evening."
(Kevin looks anything but convinced)
