Behold and ponder! Life is but a day As fragile as a tear drop Running down a maiden's cheek. A dry leaf hanging precariously Blown teasingly by autumn's wind. The silky web of a spider In a child's curious hands. Spite the fragility! Life is wondrous Rainbows, children, flowers Beauty forever, joy to behold! People, friends, family Warmth in embrace. Delightful! See the coy smile on a sweet maiden's lips Listen, the raucous laughter of children In the front green lawn in summer. A flower's bower of sweet honey For everyone, birds, bees and man Crisp air, glorious sunshine For the living, trees, animal and man.
