Masala Tea (North Indian)

Ingredients: 

3 cups water 
4 cardamoms (buah pelaga) 
1 stick cinnamon (kayu manis) - about 3cm long 
1.5 tbsp tea leaves 
3 tbsp condensed milk 
1 tbsp sugar (or to taste) 
1 tsp rose water

Method: 

Put water, cardamoms and cinnamon in a saucepan and bring to the boil. 
Add tea leaves, stir and boil for 5 minutes. 
Add rose water. Remove from heat, add milk and sugar, stir, strain and  
serve hot. Makes about 4 cups.

Note: If using fresh milk instead of condensed milk, add more sugar.
