Tandoori Murg (Chicken Tandoori)   

Ingredients: 
1 chicken (about 1kg) - clean and remove skin 

In a bowl, combine the following: 
3 cloves garlic                                   )  Grind to a
1 heaped tsp shredded ginger            )   paste
2 heaped tsp chilli powder 
1 heaped tsp ketumbar powder (coriander) 
1/2 tsp kunyit powder 
1 heaped tsp garam masala 
2 heaped tsp yoghurt 
juice of 1/2 lemon 
a dash of red colouring (powder or liquid) 
salt to taste 

Method: 

Make slashes all over carcass of chicken. Rub mixture inside and out.  
Leave to marinate, preferably 1 day earlier or a minimum of 6 hrs. 
Heat oven (225-250 C). Brush chicken with oil. When oven is hot, 
put chicken in pouring over it the remaining marinade. Roast for abt 1hr. 
When cooked, cut into large pieces. Serve with cucumber, tomato 
slices and wedges of lemon.
