| Tsunomon is the In-Training form of Matt's Gabumon. He is the living embodiment of cool, and compliments Matt's personality superbly. |
| Matt's companion, Gabumon, appeared in the first episode when all seven original Digimon digivolved into their 'Rookie' forms. While relatively small in size, Gabumon has proven again and again that he will do anything for his best friend, Matt. During a cold night, he even shared the white fur coat that he always wears in an attemp to keep Matt from freezing. He even stood by Matt's decision to face off against Tai and WarGreymon in a clash for leadership of the digidestined. |
| Digivolving Garurumon into WereGarurumon helped Matt kick Veggiemon and Digitamamon's digi-butts with a well aimed Wolf Claw after having Matt work as there slave for a few days. |
| Garurumon is a wolf Digimon that was assigned to Matt. He is the Digivolved form of Gabumon and first digivolved in order to save Matt from the clutches of Seadramon. |
| MetalGarurumon is the final Digivolution of Matt's WereGarurumon. MetalGarurumon is loyal to Matt and will do anything for his friend, which he has proven time and time again, even to the point of fighting WarGreaymon since it was what Matt wished to happen. |
