We had a home
Full of peace
Then the white man came
and made movement increase
We were forced to leave
No matter what
and each of us
They would deceive
We passed the ocean
And through the woods
And as for the mountains
We did what we could
We traveled a long time
And faced many fears
On our long journey
Called the trail of tears
