To The Eulogy

Barbara Joan Van Pelt
1945-2002

Barbara was born on March 20, 1945
in Cross County Arkansas
to Menzo and Eula Little.
She had 10 brothers and sisters,
she continued to live in Cross County with her family
until swept off her feet and by a handsome young man
named Gordon Van Pelt.
They were married when she was 16 years old
and by the time she was 17 they had added one son, James.
James was soon to be followed by David,
then Lee
and Mark rounded out the family.
The family continued to reside in Arkansas until 1973
when the entire family picked up and moved to Elgin Ill.
Where they lived until 1975
When they once again picked the entire family up and move to Arizona
where they finally settled.

Shortly after her marriage Barbara received Christ as her personal Savior
and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She continued to be an active member of Baptist church's wherever she lived
until her later years when health would no longer allow her to serve.

Barbara always loved to have kids around
and when her own began to grow up
she started to take care of others.
There would almost never be a time
when there were not young children playing in her home.
In 1981 her first Grandchild, Daniel was born
and then once again her house had young children to play in it.
Daniel would soon be followed by Valerie,
Brad,
Matt,
Vesta,
Keith,
Tiffany Lynne,
Tiffany Veloy,
Tessa,
Brandon,
Mark,
and Theresa.

Barbara went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus
on December 5, 2002.
Barbara was survived by her husband Gordon,
her three sons James,>BR> David,
and Lee,
three sisters Darles,
Sandra,
and Sheila,
three brothers Garland,
Ronnie,
and Jack
and twleve grand children.
She was preceded in death by her son Mark,
her father and mother,
three brothers,
William,
Stevie,
and Ricky,
and one sister Ann.
