Julie and I got married that summer. And unexpectedly it rained. It inconvenienced some of our guests, but both Julie and I found it to be special. All of our special moments happened in the rain. And she looked so gorgeous in her dress, walking down the aisle. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I was.

Deciding on a wedding song was tough also. She wanted “I Could Not Ask for More” and I wanted “Sixty-four”. We made a subtle compromise though, and I serenaded her again. After all, there are always anniversaries for me to sing my song to her.

And her heart... Her heart has stayed in great condition, and she gets check-ups every month to monitor her progress. It’s still a miracle to me. Everyday I thank God for saving her life and blessing me with someone like her in my life. I can’t help but continue to look forward to waking up everyday with her beside me - for life, for death, and for eternity.
