Time they say heals broken hearts
but how long a time before it starts.

It takes a short time to fall in love
and have you dancing on clouds above.

Then suddenly it can be all erased
and the loneliness again you face.

Feelings of bitterness start to collect
and those haunting memories you can't forget.

Seeing her again, it hurt so much,
and deep inside you long for her touch.

Scared of letting yourself be hurt again.
You struggle to control your feelings within.

But, try as you may to make a new start.
Old feelings for her are still in your heart.

Then as time slowly starts to slip away
and you live life from day to day.
