Lime was an electronic synth based dance "project" from Quebec Canada. Their music was HUUUGE in continental Europe in the 80s where radio was more open to good music and less influenced by big corporation choice of artists. Their albums for the most part contained no pictures, just beautiful aerographies and the credits really never mention who the vocalist is. So there is a little confusion on "who" the two vocalists are and "what" they really look like and "whether" Denis and Denyse are vocalists or not, and "what do Denis and Denyse look like". I think its human nature wanting to associate so much talent with some image. Its nice to have some clarity. It would be great to interview Denis and find out and get some pics.
As an example of this confusion are these two record sleaves:

Obviously these are different people and there is some modeling going on here

To: "Dario Margeli"I never owned the name Lime so when Denis decided he was fed up to promote and for sure I wasnt, he told George and also signed a paper authoriziing George Cucuzella to hire people to do shows. I never wanted to stop. I love performing and I miss it. Denis did alot of bad moves and had become unpredictable because of ******* so what can you do (sigh)
If the company had had the budget for use to have a rehearsal hall and to pay for musiciens for building a live show, we could have done it. Live is so much more fun!! I guess Unidisc were only interested in picking up the sales.
Before Lime Denis and I were doing all the local sessions for artists. We were studio musiciens and sometimes we were asked to accompany live these sames artists for promotion. The we started recording remakes for Joe and co. then we did a track called The Break for them which was an original which was later on used for the National Football in the States. So here we are doing all kinds of tracks and on the side we were doing our own songs and this is how Your Love came up. Remember Dancing the Night Away...........by Vogue? well Vogue happens to be myself and a girlfriend of mine. It hit big at the same time as Your Love so of course I couldnt be in two different places at the same time so they hired (TransCanada Music) two girls to do promotion which to my surprise one day while Denis and I were having dinner watching tv they showed up and I had no idea record companies did things that. These two girls had absolutely nothing to do with the music. All the lying going on. I remember once Joe told us ' How can you be sure Mozart really wrote all that music of his' sigh
Enough writing, its frustrating for me but I do appreciate getting recent news on Lime. I appreciate it Dario!
Bless you!
Denyse
Notes: Models on this cover I scanned of their 12" megamix released in Germany/Holland...

Hi Dario,
I just came across your Lime web site and felt that I needed to contact you. I am the mystery "model" on those record covers. Thank you for the compliment but since you are trying to get the truth out, let me help you.
My name is Joy Dorris and the guy on those covers is Chris Marsh. Back in the eighties Chris and I were asked to represent Lime. This was done with the support and full knowledge of Limes' record company After many months of rehearsals we set off on tour to bring Lime live to the many fans around the world. Back then disco artists were not traveling with full bands. We all went out with prerecorded music. However - Chris and I ALWAYS sang the vocals live. This came naturally for us as we all had similar vocal styles and ranges. We toured for years through Europe and the USA. We met many amazing radio and club DJ's and countless numbers of happy clubgoers who loved the music as much as we did. We were welcomed and embraced by the fans, the press and the recording and radio communities, all the time it being known that we were not Denis or Denyse. We became the "faces" of Lime and the live performing artists.
So while it is very flattering to have someone consider Chris and I "models" , the truth of the matter is that we are very much part of Lime's history.
My love and appreciation to all who were along for the ride !

Thanks Joy,
I will go and append some notes to what there is in the site. Since we do these sites as a hobby, we sometimes dont calculate the words exactly. Ha ha! With my day job, I had forgotten about Lime for a while. Though I got a letter couple of weeks ago that Denis is preparing an album.
Anyway my appologies. We knew you guys could sing for sure. However, my experience through thousands of fan letters over the years, is that they think that the guys on the jacket of the records are the people that are singing in the record. It is "correct" to say that on the record jackets you were models! Also many fans complaint that they would go to a live show and find you and chris instead of Lepage. I know it is not your fault and Le Page already explained that they had given permission, but promoters obviously dont mention that the voices are not those on the record to people going to shows. Still I'm sure there were those who had a great time at your shows and loved it. Actually I've seen a live version of you and chris performing Unexpected Lovers, and it was quite good. With a full band!!
